Hi, i have not flown in many many years, and this is my first flight as an adult.
I am going to Dublin next week and i am flying on an e-ticket. So the fine print says that means i check in online and that check in opens 36 hours before for the outbound flight.
But what about the return flight? Do i not need to check in online when i fly home from Dublin airport?

You should be able to do both at the same time, when is your return flight and who are you flying with?
Will be on the FAQs of the airlines website but always nice to double check.0 -
Thanks bigadaj
My outbound flight is 1st June, and my return flight is on the 4th june.
I am flying with Flybe.
I'll look at their FAQnow.0 -
Flybe generally have auto check-in machines at the airport
I've not used them for Dublin though and I can't remember if I saw any machines there.Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -

Oh, so i might have to check in at a desk at Dublin then? So do only some airport do online check in?0 -
Go to flybe web site and click on check-in,it will ask for Booking Ref,Forename and surname. its straight forward. Because your returning within a few days of your outbound flight you can check in on your return before you have left. If it wont let you check in on return do 1 day before you are due to fly out. Thanks saxonman.
I wont be able to do it while I am in Dublin, as i wont have my laptop or a printer. And according the Flybe FAQ i wont be able to check in for my return flight until i have flown to Dublin.
I do think that Dublin airport has internet desks to use, so i might see if i can do it as soon as i get off the plane.0 -

It's just a kiosk in the check-in hall, all airports that I've used with Flybe have had them
EDIT: not Dublin apparently - http://www.flybe.com/checkin/airport-availability.htm

Thanks Moto2.
I don't quite understand the advantages to checking in online/auto self check in.
Do i just use that kiosk (or similar), drop off my suitcase and head straight to security?0 -
