Weird bosses
Comments

A friend of mine had this problem recently. He checked bus times before he applied, but he didn't get the start and finish times he'd expected and his boss wasn't flexible about it. His lift share didn't work out and taxis there and back took up most of his wage. The company sacked him in the end. His JSA is barel enough to live on, never mind driving lessons or a car, so it is really hard for anyone out there who has difficulty finding a job they can travel to without car ownership.
Is there any way you can show them how valuable your contribution is to the company? Might they agree to cover some of your travel/taxi costs? Maybe not, but some companies do.
OH is often a bit late for work, but he takes it into consideration when filling out his timesheet and the work still gets done.
