I want out, because I think we should have our own choice in how we run the country

Do you not think Ireland (the 26) has done pretty well out of eu membership?

(Apart from endangering their overall ethnic majority status)

They'd do well to. A brexit is a confidence boost for English nationalism and will lead to the breakup of the UK. Scotland will be gone in 2 years and that will lead to an awakening of Irish nationalism among those who are currently quite content.

Good luck to the Scottish nationalists with oil at a lower price than extraction cost, and Aberdeen in a state of collapse.

I don't think any of the 32-Counties of Ireland have done well out of so-called "EU" membership. It is also abundantly clear that whilst the so-called "EU" continues with its diktats on all aspects of life they continue to ignore every referendum result which opposes them.

I therefore believe that it is an illegal construct.

Are you referring to the European Central Bank forcing the state to go bust in 2009, then making the public pick up the tab? Cause we can't allow the investors to lose out, can we?

I didn't mention the ECB actually. I mentioned the illegal re-run of numerous referenda.

Oh those - you mean keep on voting until you make the right choice? Not a very impressive form of democracy, it has to be accepted.

This idea that Scotland will vote remain while england will vote to leave. It seems recent polls suggest Remain is looking about 5 % better there than in England, but still under 50%. Therefore Nicola sturgeon's idea that Scotland will enthusiastically choose independence in Europe is another fantasy, a bit like $120 a barrel oil.

Of course. True Republicanism demands opposition to the so-called "EU" as much as opposition to English rule.

This isn't the case in N.Ireland The Republican/Irish Nationalist parties are all campaigning to remain in the EU but the largest Unionist party (DUP) want to come out.

Out because the democratic deficit as they call it translates to a distinct lack of democracy. The power of the corporate lobbyist is extreme in Europe, after all they suggested the reading rooms so our elected MEP's get a mere glace at trade agreements being pushed by the unelected bureaucrats.
As for the euro army that will be announced in days after the referendum - well I don't wan't my kids being fodder for Junckers army.
General Gutherie, General Rose, Col. Bob Stewart are all warning against turning to this euro army, it's crazy we have NATO.
There are too many powerful unelected players in the EU, we can't fire them and presidents and prime ministers brick it when they go to see them, inevitably returning with their tail between their legs.
