Missing dipstick hole!

Or even, heaven forbid, have a look in the user manual that came with the car.0 -

Thanks for all the replies. As I said right at the start I don't know what engine it is and I'm unlikely to find out. I've only seen the car briefly once, I'm reasonably sure it's a 3 series, and it's a few years old (maybe early 00's), and it's a coupe, but beyond that I know nothing. I have to assume that there was a dipstick before, but I have no idea whether there is a manual or why my friend doesn't at least have some idea where in the engine the hole would be.
PS, No, I'm not DM, although I did once own a Yaris!0 -

Short term memory problems perhaps?
No short term memory problems at all just get fed up with all of you guys who post on the motoring section of this forum that believe they always know each and every answer and then attempt to belittle anybody else. Your a wee clich! of individual trolls with little else in your lives.
And what does it say in your signature line? " I refuse to censor myself because it may offend someone. If you don't like me that's ok, I don't need your approval. "
Yet when you deem others to be doing that you feign offence and throw a hissy fit
Irony??0 -
Impossible to help then. I've had 2 petrol 3 series coupes, and they both had dipsticks.I've only seen the car briefly once, I'm reasonably sure it's a 3 series, and it's a few years old (maybe early 00's), and it's a coupe, but beyond that I know nothing
As are some posters here, which has caused a big argument over nothing. The E90 3 series - 2006(?) onwards, may not have a dipstick, but before that any 3 should.I have to assume that there was a dipstick before0 -

Why do you post on here then?0 -

If she can't find a hole where the dipstick goes how did she know it was missing?Stevie_Palimo wrote: »The clue maybe that she found the dipstick missing. !!!0
