    Have a good celebration Bossy

Bit of a funny night, was doing a report late then partly disturbed by Mr N who had to go to a work thing at 4.30am, returning about 5.30. Next I knew it was 9.30am and he was bringing me a cup of tea. So rushed up, as I had planned to make a chocolate fudge cake for the tutor's meal before going for my scan.
    Cake made.
    Reports added to.
Scan done. It isn't a torn tendon but inflammation (bursitis) with some calcium deposits. Ow. Seems ironic I do all this exercise to stave off osteoporosis and the dam*** stuff deposits itself in my shoulder joint. Mr N suggested I take some kettle descaler, yeah thanks. Radiographer thinks a cortisone injection will be what happens next, can't wait. It's good that it doesn't need surgery, but in a funny sort of way I'd be happier about having a treatable injury caused by aerobics rather than the aerobics being the 'last straw' to an 'age-related wear and tear' in the joint.

Dropped into Mr S as I'd parked there rather than pay hospital parking fees, so it seemed only fair I bought something.

Lunch next, ice the cake then probably more work till about 3 then I need to shower and get ready for the tutor meal in WGC so only 20 mins drive.

Thanks, yes I intend to. Although I must say, Mr N has steroid injections periodically for his rheumatoid arthritis and it's like magic. I appreciate that RA is chronic general inflammation rather than mine which is specific and originally caused by an injury.

  • Hi all,

Been awol as mum and dad have been visiting for my birthday. They have now gone, so I have had a catch up with the thread.
It is freezing here! Went in to town with mum and dad this morning and wished I had my winter coat!

I'm not doing any flying today, so there.

Bossy ,hope you have a great last day, I'm very jealous.

narco I agree with piggers about the injection, doc told OH he needed to have them for his shoulder, he went to see our old next door neighbour who is a physio. She sorted it in a few sessions.

YL you are too busy. You need some time off.

    valli hugs xx

Just having a read before I get on with things. Visitors staying over in couple of days so whole house needs to be tidy. Well, not very tidy, they are pretty relaxed, but tidier! Bossy hope your last day is going well, must be a strange feeling.

Bossy - glad you've at least had some time for a coffee before the school run and have some peace!
Made a start here and the washing machine is on which always makes me feel productive - like I'm working even when I'm not...

Congrats bossy, enjoy your celebration. Were you suitably surprised at your leaving do gift after being 'cced, into the collection?

Just in from work, doing a cauli/broc cheese for tea.
