    Stop the merry-go-round......pleeeease....

My kids are just horrid. Screaming match on arriving home from school about nothing, actual fisticuffs between them, more screaming, tears, biting and general horrendous behaviour. If I hadn't agreed to meet my friend at soft play, the boys would both be in bed with smacked bottoms.

Soft play was grim. More hitting and crying. Double refusal to eat the dinner ordered (prices have gone up to £7.95 per child ) stayed for less than an hour before we had to leave as I was going to explode. My friend invited us back to hers for a cuppa and so the kids could all play together in her garden. Play? Play? No, yet more screaming, punching and downright awfulness. I left in shame with my friend saying she would be worried about me while they were away on a camping holiday. DH has just arrived home and I'm nearly in tears. I am NOT looking forward to two weeks of them both all day 24/7.

    Kill me now.

Aww hugs dizzy it sounds awful. Two weeks? Gah! Mine just have the one week. Here's hoping they sleep in tomorrow for you xxx

Just got my two to bed. DD was a bit beyond herself too. She gets whiney but she had real tears while I was cleaning her teeth. I carried her to bed and she just flopped her head on my shoulder...

They've had a new puzzle book each tonight after dinner, so what with that and a DVD, it's been mostly peaceful here save for the odd demand for food. The books are quite big ones with lots to do so I'm hoping they'll last us the week - in between whatever else we get up to.

Went to bee n queue earlier they had an offer on plant trays, 5 for £10 so I have 18 lobelia, 12 fuchsia and 6 geranium to brighten up some planters. We'll do that tomorrow afternoon. Also put some greening stuff on the lawn that will want watering in. We are forecast dry weather (!) this bank hol - blimey. So I shall be turfing them into the garden!

General dailies done tonight, I do feel rather tired, I suspect the "excitement" of the last few months has caught up with me...

I think tonight, I might clear my wardrobe of joyless office-wear :D

Well the doctors surgery called me back.. I answered the phone, said hello.. they hung up on me... but they rang so covered themselves right?? My call log says 1 second.

Dizzy.. ((hugs)) we all have days like that.. tomorrow is a new day... get a plan together now for tomorrow.. a list of jobs they get to do if they are beastly tomorrow. Toy sorting, wardrobe sorting, mopping, vacuuming, wiping, dusting etc.. if they are capable of naughty they are capable of helping.. And of course.. good old rewards for good behaviour. :) It's going to be timeout central here this week probably..

OH is away at a wedding Monday and bringing his mother hack Tuesday until Thursday.. I shall stop there lol

Dizzy - my two are vile a lot of the time too, I think mine are similar ages to yours. It's such such hard work, only two weeks ago I left a kids party in shameful tears as they were fighting so much. DS bites DD all the time, she cries and pushes him over, he bangs his head, by that point they're both crying and I join in....

Sending you massive hugs, I really wish I was closer to help xx

Hugs to Dizzy and atypicalblonde and anyone else with small kids.

Mine could often be like that, and I had three in a three year spell. Come the holidays two together might play nicely, but three?

But they are all.grown up now. And I am really proud of them all.

Courage - it does get better.

Thanks lovely ladies, for your support and empathy. Both rotters are in bed sleeping like butter wouldn't melt. They both look like gorgeous angels cuddled up with their soft toys. Appearances can be sooo deceptive lol

I've just realised it's only a week, not two. Hurrah! But I've got the skids most of the week too...yay...DH can't take any time off...boo...knickers untwisted slightly but still a little tight.

TD engineer should be coming to fix said machine tomorrow. Secretly hoping DH gets them while I take Small to his friend's party in the afternoon. Didn't get much on my list done today except the birthday presents and the poor fish are still gasping. Wouldn't it be great if a clone of me could be created to do all the stuff I don't have time for :o

Bath, then bed me thinks. I am so done with today.

ATB - your family life and mine do often sound achingly familiar. I hope the sibling scrapping at a young age develops into a lifelong bond of affection when they're older, don't you?

Planning for tomorrow is an excellent strategy Piggers. It starts with the playroom toy cull that was an epic fail today. Then they can wave dusters rather than lightsabers at each other. I will regain control of my brats.
