    Crikey Nicki - you're on a mission!

Planning on sorting the playroom today, which fills me with dread. I need to do a toy cull, but the boys make such a fuss if I try to remove anything - even baby toys, so I have to be rather crafty...

In addition I've got to email potential builders who want to price for the work, research wooden hinged garage doors online, get correct land ownership details to the National Resources lady for my agricultural drainage charge, order some birthday pressies from Amazon and try to gather up receipts to support my contents claim.

Oh, and did I mention the fish tank?

Forgive a newbie question but where it says about washing the windows in the kids room. You do mean inside dont you?

And on that note, how do you all deal with outside windows above ground floor level? Do you use a window cleaner ££ or get OH whoever up a ladder?

Bobarella - When it comes up on the list I tend to just clean the inside. If the outside needs doing then I lean out the window and do them myself as I don't have a OH and I'm not paying nearly £10 a time for the windowcleaner to do them. I'm fortunate as all mine are easy to do myself as they're top opening except DD's but I do the best I can. Thats the most dangerous as well as I actually sit where the window opens (its our 'fire escape'), and lean out. If the kitchen extension wasn't right underneath I'd not do it though for fear of falling. As it is I usually end up wedged in the gap by my fat bottom :rotfl:

Sorry for the almost double post! Coffee break & an apple to eat. :)

I've actually washed the dishes, dried them and put them away! Usually I just leave them to air dry but there were so many mugs they filled the drainer and it left me with a pile of dirty dishes still to do. I've also picked all the growing lettuce and put it in the fridge to have later. Worktops are sitting in cleaner atm after I made up another bottle complete with disinfectant this time. I will get my house clean today ;)

5 mins on a game while I finish my coffee then on with the kitchen.

Got a phone call to say I wasn't needed at work till lunchtime, downside is I won't get paid. But I've weeded the front garden, updated the calendar, Made some phone calls, booked a couple of events and picked some salad from the tubs in the garden.
Just going to grab a coffee then it will be time for dinner time shift.

    Everyone sounds really busy.

I've done some organising as well and had a go at shining my sink because I felt like it. Pity I've just made more dishes and a bit of mess making my lunch. I'll be dragging henry upstairs after I've eaten and hung wash load 3 out. I'll also take the stardrops up and do the windows while I'm up there. I'm running low on cleaning cloths :o

    3pm update!

We have bees in the loft. When I was cleaning my bedroom window I saw them hovering outside, went and stood outside like a lemon looking up and saw them landing then crawling up into a gap under the eaves. :( I know I can leave them as in theory as they'll do no real harm, but if they're honey bees I'd rather they were rehomed by someone so that the honey can be harvested. Its a little hard to see exactly what they are, but if they are honey ones I'll tw33t one of DD's teachers to see if they want them for the school who already have a colony ;)

Definitely made a lot of progress in the last hour. Think I'll fling DD's dark uniform in before I wash the towels as its a nice day here so I might as well make the most of it.

Hooray, no more paid stuff for 12 days so I can pretend to be retired like Bossy!

Just having a cuppa and will then walk the dogs.

The furniture arrived earlier, one item has to be replaced and that will take a month, and the house is now covered in polystyrene balls which I'll be hoovering up forever, except the hoover doesn't seem to have much suction. Have given up trying for today as I was getting really frustrated with it when I just want to feel chilled out now.
Spend less now, work less later.
