What's happened to the Warm Home Discount?

Can you tell us whether e.on have started crediting electricity accounts (direct debit) for those in the Core Group yet, and if not, when these will start?

Morning Neil and sorry for the late reply.

Warm Home Discount payments for 2016/17 started in October. We can't give specific dates but all eligible customers will receive their payments by the end of May 17.

Where possible, payments will go on to customer's accounts and can be seen on bills or online if registered with our website. Letters will also be sent to let customers know the payment has been made.

Customers with prepayment meters will receive a voucher they can take to the Post Office to use.

As you're a Core Group customer, you'll receive a letter from the Department of Works and Pensions (DWP) explaining that we'll be making your payment. It's important you follow any instructions in this letter to make sure all goes through okay.

Morning everyone and, as promised, a further update on the 2016/17 Warm Home Discount scheme.

It's just to confirm my post above (#21). We're closing the 2016/17 scheme (Broader Group) at 5pm today, 2 December 16. Customers won't be able to apply to us after this time.

The majority of customers are likely to receive their payment within 3 months of receiving their successful application letter. The last payments are due to be made by 31 May 2017.

Customers can register their interest for next year's scheme (2017/18) on our website once the current scheme has closed.
