Junk mail - a way to feel better
Comments

if the junk comes with a prepaid envelope i just send the whole lot back with dont send me this !!!! written across it in black marker pen, it takes no more time than opening the envelope in the first place, and it makes me feel happier because they have to pay for the return.0

I just usually put it in the recycle bin because I dont have time to mess about with things.
Its only paper, why bother wasting time thinking you have got one up on the company by sending them stuff back-but mind you some people on here seem to have far too much time on their hands . . .0 -
might be more fun to send them other companies stuff, like you get 2 lots of spam mail and you send them back to the opposite company, leaving off a stamp again.
Done that for a while now. Also sent the odd housebrick with their prepaid envelope on the outside of the box. No it's not sad, but quite satisfying.0 -

If the companies are really lucky they even get a used tissue if I have a cold! I see it as helping poor old Royal Mail increase their revenue by sending brick sized packets back to the junk mailer.
sorry thats disgusting.you think thats fair on the person opening the mail?
you think the person opening it is the one who decides on what mailshots go out?0 -

its just pathetic, its people that dont know anything about marketing and how it works.0 -
Be careful what you send through the post. An acquaintance of mine sent a number of computer boards to a company he didn't like. The recipient thought the packages contained bombs. The police tracked him down somehow and he was sent to prison for 2 years.
The terrorism act is very wide-ranging and it only takes someone to *think* that you've sent them a noxious chemical, bomb or whatever and the consequences could be very serious.
In addition, if you deliberately post something without a stamp and the recipient has to pay, I believe that's also a prosecutable offence. Posting junk mail back without a stamp is probably sufficient evidence that you intended to defraud the recipient.
I hate to spoil your fun but you should think carefully about what you are doing.0 -

This smacks of either an Urban Myth or there is much more to the story, such as he also sent a threat with the boards etc. Just sending them is highly unlikely to be enough to end up in gaol!!!0 -
We put unaddressed mail back in to a Post Box.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0
