Dave Brooker goes quiet, Stan Morris appears. Coincidence? You decide.0 -
im thinking now small claims court.but we dont have the money to pay for a solicitor or the court costs cos the damn dealer has it,so what do we do??
The fee for using the small claims track in court is about fifty pounds. It is not usual practice to engage a lawyer for this kind of case. Generally, however, it can only deal with cases that concern sum of up to 5,000 pounds.0 -
i have now got the original advert from autotrader and uploaded it to send the credit peeps.and a letter from a qualified mechanic that checked the car before we took about the engine
you can see the mechanics letter here

Headgaskets are wear items, presumably the trader is refusing to do any more repairs to the car because you kicked up a stink with the finance company?0 -

And your point?0 -
And your point?
That in some respects OP has brought about the situation by their own actions.
From what I can gather from their posts, they buy some pickup, the gearbox goes, the gearbox is fixed, the engine goes, the seller offers to replace the engine, they whinge about the engine number, they moan to police/trading standards/finance house, trader throws in the towel and refuses to help any further.0 -

So the trader offers to replace the engine and then grind off the engine numbers and you think this is acceptable??? Time for school is it not little boy!0
