Carphone - Locked or not

I bought a Samsung J5 in CPW recently. It was a generic unlocked, unbranded phone handed over in a sealed box along with a SIM pack, I think it was O2 PAYG was the cheapest at the time but it doesn't matter as the SIM was binned and I used my own SIM.

They have no means to lock handsets.

The salesman was simply lying to try and squeeze another £10 out of you, your lucky in a way as they often refuse to sell PAYG if they cotton on your going to use your own SIM in it.

That's all there is to it.

Don't worry Ian, your knowledge of phone numbers is probably better than the majority of users here, in future just don't try and bluff the forum with nonsense about salesmen in CPW being able to magically lock phones to individual simcards when you have nothing to show how this magic works...
