Sorry for late response finally got my car back today, luckily the insurance covered the cost I had to pay the excess. Downside is that I lost my No Claims, the overall cost would have been £2700.
They suspected injector faults, stripped off pipes/loom/inlet. Large amount of carbon/sludge build up in inlet head ports, and they cleaned as best as possible. Two injectors released ok, 3rd released after soaking overnight. Remaining injector seized, used puller broke tool. Injector separated they had tool made to fit in the remaining nossel. They called specialist they removed injectors. They tested 3 injectors, fuel contamination found. Fitted new injector and the other 3 were overhauled. Drained fuel tank/system, cleaned and fitted new filter and fuel. Rebuilt and tested.
Would there be any point of contacting Shell regarding fuel contamination.0
