The injectors SHOULD show up fault codes, but a less experienced or 'suck it & see' type garage may think that they need to remove the injectors & send them away for testing (very few garages have the facility to do this onsite).
Unfortunately, most garages possess code reading equipment, but don't have the skilled staff to know how to interpret the codes, or what to do next. There is still an element of 'it's modern electronics, we don't understand it, we assume it always goes wrong so we'll just randomly swap bits' prevalent in the trade.
In your case, the electronics are pointing to a fuel pressure fault, which really can't be down to one or more faulty injectors. Difficult doing an armchair diagnosis, but in terms of cost & simplicity, and assuming I didn't have access to the car & proper testing equipment, I'd be checking thoroughly for leaks, and then trying a replacement fuel pressure regulator.0 -
one faulty injector can cause fuel problems, you need to get them to do a leak back test to show them which one is leaking too much0

New Car Warranty
All vehicles first registered in the UK and purchased from a UK Peugeot Dealer benefit from a Peugeot 2 - Year unlimited mileage manufacturer's warranty and a free optional additional 1 year of warranty provided by the Peugeot Dealer Network in the UK. This additional warranty carries a mileage limit of 60,000 miles from first registration and is dependent upon the manufacturer's recommended servicing being carried out at the specified time or distance intervals. For full terms and conditions, please consult your Peugeot Dealer in the UK
So no, all Peugeots have a 2 year manufacturer warranty - the third year is optional by the supplying dealer, and only applies up to 60,000 miles when applied. Don't suppose the OP is worried about whether they're three or four years out of warranty to be honest.
In response to the OP, P1113 is fault in fuel pressure regulator , P0087 is low fuel pressure in the high pressure 'common' rail. Could be a faulty pressure regulator (not too serious), a damaged fuel pipe somewhere causing air in the system (again, cheap enough if you can find it) or, at worst, a knackered high pressure fuel pump.
Your grasping at straws now.
They have a 3 yr warranty from new, wether the third year is a dealer warranty or not is irrelevant. Most manufacturers do the third year of the warranty like that, including Subaru (or at least they did when I bought both of my previous Subarus new.0 -

Unless it has done more than 60,000 miles.

What does the number of miles have to do with it?
Lots of manufacturers have a 60k miles limit.
Apart from Jaguar as their 3 yr Warranty has no mileage limit. I think Land Rover are the same.
Not forgetting Jaguar Assist and Land Rover Assist that arrange a comparable Hire Car within a few hours if needed.
Still doesn't change the simple fact that a 3 yr New Car Warranty where the third year is a dealer warranty is extremely common.0 -
Thank you for the above advise, they are repairing harness (fuel sensor connector. It's a right pickle I am dealing with the main dealer Peugeot. I am not sure whether they should be taking the injectors out. I did phone another dealer and they said that the diagnostic check should find out which injectors are faulty before trying to take them all out.
Does anyone know a complaints procedure, it would be interesting to know 100% if the diagnostic check would pick up any faults with the injectors.0 -
The dealer said that a diagnostic check might not pick up faults with the injectors, that's why I told him that another Peugeot dealer said it would pick up faults, he wasn't to keen on my response.
I think I need to prove that it might not be necessary to take out all the injectors. Also a diagnostic check would it pick up faults with the injectors. If it did then they would know which one to take out. Also because of what they have done it might have been unnecessary costs which i have to pay.0 -
