Housing and Planning Act 2016

Quite. And as a higher than average earner the OP should consider themselves damn lucky to even be in social housing.
i do consider myself lucky yes, don't think i'm not grateful or that i dont appreciate others on lower wages rent privately , that was me for many many years,
i also had to be homeless to get a place on the council due to 'equal opportunities' , not something that is desirable for anyone, i then got a house through the council but i know things can be better if i work hard and if can get out then so can others..0 -

Thank you for at least acknowledging the point of my thread Norman,0 -
You go ahead. And on behalf of the taxpayer i thank you for returning that nice fat discount when you do so.
Does it surprise you to know that i am actually a tax payer ?
also , please re-read my comment above and prepare for disappointment , i wont be paying any deposit back much to your dismay , your bitterness is getting ahead of you again , calm down.0 -
So to summarise:
You're 34
Single
Earning 32K a year ( Above average earnings )
Been in social housing for over 8 years since your mid twenties
Do you actually have any concept of how lucky you are...
Not totally correct no , as with your other posts you obviously mis-read or omitted information in this thread
What is the point in you being here again ? you have made the most posts and none relevant, you enjoy wasting everyones time ?
Any how any of the above can be put down to luck i dont know,
i was luck to be born in 1981 ?
i was lucky to work hard and acquire skills for me to get a job paying 32k and working from home ? ,
i was lucky enough to become homeless ... ?
well maybe i was lucky they had the housing stock to give me a house after a year , many places i dont i know , maybe worse now this was 10 years ago almost , but obviously i should have recognized that i was being 'lucky' and refused the accommodation to stay on the street so in future certain idiots could feel that little bit better that other people around are getting a bad deal or at least worse than them , which is lovely , you !!!!.0 -
Ok, i've had my fun with the troll so i'm out.
What a plank.0 -

Im not whining or sad , im just explaining the housing situation to those far too high in their ivory towers to notice what reality is though they think they do.
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -

I think the opportunities are already equal and I think your opinion that they aren't is what has put you at odds with some of the other forum members.
I do understand where you're coming from. Ownership seems pretty far away for me right now but I have two options. I can accept that my lifestyle does not accommodate home ownership or I can change my circumstances so that they do. That's the crux of why people have taken issue with your tone. Those two choices are both available to me (and you). The opportunity is there if we want to take it.
What doesn't endear you to the forum is that you come across as wanting to have your cake and eat it. You don't want to make the effort but still expect the reward.
As it turns out it HAS fallen into your lap so for all your previous hardships you have had a stroke of luck. Worry less about everyone else and focus on that.
Also I remember reading somewhere that marksoton is an idiot troll so don't worry about him :rotfl:0 -

What a plank.
Off you go , you may think you are a mega troll but you failed badly there , i think you evident proved you are the plank , talking rubbish and wasting peoples time , stick to topic that are relevant to you then maybe you wont be shown up by people calling out your childish behavior,
Doubt you will be missed, even by your mother, you insufferable bitter cretin.0 -

Half of the comments are completely irrelevant , there is no policy on people only owning one house and no renting , i just suggested it flippantly as the people owning multiple houses are destroying the market and forcing the need for things like right to buy, you knew that(unless you are totally deluded) , but you just wanted to argue , didn't you ?
Oh it was flippant was it?
This doesn't look flippant "Buy to let should be banned, all second homes sold i think, unless they pay double for them, that would sort things out"
Or did it become flippant once its obvious it was a stoopid remark?0
