Why would I want another door that has exploded, I wouldn't have any faith in the product and definitely wouldn't want any other member of the family to experience it exploding when they were using the bathroom.
You wouldn't be buying another one which had exploded, you'd be buying an unexploded one0 -
Legally they have to provide a remedy. They would be entitled to provide a replacement as a suitable remedy, so I wouldn't bother arguing with them on that score. Even though you don't want it, a replacement is satisfactory under the law.
What I would pick up on is that any remedy they offer must not cause 'significant inconvenience'. You may be able to argue that being without a shower door did cause significant inconvenience, and due to them not replying to your messages for three days you were reasonable in seeking an alternative supplier.
I'm not sure how much the lack of a shower would cause significant inconvenience to you. If you have alternative shower or bath facilities in your house, then not much. Also, did you attempt to phone them to get a faster response? If not, then you haven't really done enough to escalate the issue.
But it might worth considering if you could argue on these grounds.0 -
Thanks for the reply, worth considering.0

It is fairly common with both shower screens and oven doors, so the only way to avoid it is to use a shower curtain and have zero glass on your oven door. All glass has the potential to do this.0

Hi, the same thing just happened to my dad, he got his from better bathrooms too. He was hurt quite badly as he's blind and it happened as he went to get out of the shower. Have spoken to them but still waiting to hear back.0
