A friend of mine is single working man with no children and earns £13000 a year would he qualify for tax credits and if so how much please.

£13,000 is close to the limit for a single person with no children (and assuming no disabilities). He'd get about £72 for the year. Again assuming he actually meets the criteria, over 25yrs and working at least 30hrs per week.

Hi, I have had my renewal pack through and renewed online but when I log in again it still ha the click here to renew is this normal or has my renewal not gone through??

click no for renewal, this should show new amount since you reviewed online earlier.

Yeah mine does this, I click " no " and it shows my weekly payment thats a couple of £ less than last year as I had a one off payment just after I renewed online.

Meant to add new amount 'provisional' status upto8-10 weeks,i.e. subject to change if required.

I renewed 5th May and have always had it done in a few days. Obviously won't call until 8 weeks is up but strange it's taking so much longer than other years.

I renewed mine on 16 May online and still waiting. My payments went down in April, but l still got a renewal pack to renew online. I called them a week after l renewed online to tell them about my self assessment figures which l couldnt do online. Was told it was auto renewed, despite being sent a renewal pack. They said the will put a note about my other income and it will be looked at in due course.

Re the red line on the renewel notice i just checked last year i had a red line no problems , year before no red line problems later on in year.

I suspect its on the ones that are not auto renewels ?

I did my tax credit renewel on line last week got a text a few days later to say it was recieved could take up to 8 weeks and i can check my payments on line so i just tried and it says i cant view my payments on line at this time and if there are any changes with my claim to contact them by phone ������ any idea why ?
