What are my chances of completing this friday??

For a faster payment it depends on if the amount is over the amount that triggers your bank's security to step in. If that happens how quick it is to complete the transfer depends on your bank. You should be able to find your bank's limits online or ring and ask.PP I don't know. I'm assuming he is going to tell me all this tomorrow. I just thought it would be a transfer from my online banking as you would transfer any money
If in doubt then best to go into a branch and do a CHAPS payment, cost 25 to 30 but if done by the cutoff time guaranteed the same day. If after the cutoff time it's next day.
Suggest you ring your bank this evening see what they say.0 -
Deposit?
OP is Completing on Friday so needs to pay the full amount.
Since Exchange / Completion appear to be happening same day there will be no deposit to pay.0 -

The full amount will need to be paid, but not all directly from the buyer
I think what's being referred to here is the buyer paying a deposit from their own funds in a bank account, and the balance being a mortgage, which will be requested by the buyer's solicitor. :rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
That's right PP. I have the deposit in my bank account, nationwide have the rest!0

How much is your deposit? I paid a 5 figure sum from my bank account to the solicitor, which was well within the amount a member of staff in branch had told me would go through no problem. I advised the branch staff that I would be transferring substantial sums. However, when I did, my account was blocked as this was deemed "unusual activity" (yep, I'm not in the habit of buying a house every week), which though simple to unlock, was more than mildly stressful, and not quick.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
The deposit is £10,010 exactly. I'm not in the habit of transferring that much money either lol.0
