Morning!
Mrs MP I think it's usually the second number that raises concerns, for eg mine is always a touch on the low side (hereditary I was told) and I think a healthy adult is usually about 110/70 so yours doesn't seem crazy-high but a little elevated, particularly if that's a resting reading. Worth a visit to the nurse esp if you are having palpitations. Also worth remembering that home monitors aren't always perfect readings. I'd get it checked out xx
WFH today and dropped the kiddies off at breakfast club, boy nobody wanted to get out of bed this morning! We walked, to wake us up, and to start the step count off!
It's a glorious day here so I think I'll get some laundry going - I'm allowing myself a 10min "motivational" breather every hour, since I wasn't very productive yesterday. Need to achieve more today!
Might make another coffee...

Thanks bossy, I'll probs ring surgery later and run it by them. My dad has a pretty bad heart and has had multiple attacks and various surgeries on it so I've got that in the back of my mind.
Lovely weather here as well so I'm loading the wm next. I've done the bird feeders but trying to deter the greedy wood pigeons who seem to take over and guzzle everything before the little birds get a chance.SPC~12 ot 124

Morning
Katie - hugs
Froddy - That's great news :T
I need to run errands today to a few places. I got £20 worth of c1ubcard vouchers yesterday so I'm popping to Mr T for groceries. There's nothing on the boosts that I want so I might as well put them to good use and fill my freezer with a few things.
I also need to go to Ar90s to return my faulty alarm clock as its less than 6 months old and its broken. They don't even stock it any more according to the website  Plus the bank for work, and a couple of other shops in town. I'm guessing I'd be best buying a bus pass today or I'll never get it all done.
I've already tidied through, and done a wash load (including hanging it out) but the dishes can be DD's job when she gets in. She made eggs & mushrooms for breakfast and I'm not dealing with the mess she's made in the frying pan  Next job is to pay bills & update my finances.

Mrs MP.. are you a 'lady of a certain age'?? BP can rise with the menopause, particularly with night symptoms .. it is on the high side.. normal is up to 140/90.. mine is usually stupidly low.. so I feel faint and dizzy. If you are concerned you should speak to the dr particularly if you are getting odd heart rhythms too.. Hypertension is usually diagnosed after a series of high readings over a couple of weeks rather than a few days. http://www.bloodpressureuk.org

Thanks both, I rang Drs for advice and was told to go straight down as a dr was free to reassure/double check he did best of three and got average of 165/75 which he agreed was a little high but not dangerous, I've got to go back for an ecg on Thursday just to be belt and braces. Can't say my Drs aren't there to help can I.
I'm in my 50s but auntie flo still visits and apart from getting heavier I've got no signs of her going away anytime soon sadly. I've been told by a nurse when I was having a moan that is good as it helps keep bones dense longer.SPC~12 ot 124

So I've paid all 5 bills due _pale_ , updated finances, juggled the vouchers/cards that are in my purse ready to go out, reported the rats to the council (they'll be out Thursday to put poison down which is their scheduled day for this area) & reported the suspected collapsed sewer to UU who will be out in the next 5 days
Just a pity I've not made it into town yet where I had hoped to be by 10am :rotfl:
Oh well, Time to sort out my lists while I have some lunch and then get moving. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
That's great you got seen straight away! Always best to be on the safe side. Worth also remembering that stress can affect the heart too through cortisol so possibly some relaxation techniques might be of benefit - to all of us! Xx
Washing is out and I've just had a quick walk around putting things away. Going to have some lunch and a break then I'll get back to the paid stuff...Bossymoo

Literally putting the stuff in my bag to leave to go run these errands and UU call to say they're on their way :rotfl: I guess I'll delay the errands a little longer then and make it town then Mr T's as I won't have much time for anything else. Oh well, best laid plans and all that :rotfl::rotfl:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

RANT ALERT.
Celebrated my 1yr birthday yesterday. Lots of cards which was lovely. But my plans of picking a car this week and driving off into the sunset have gone out the window.
I applied 6 weeks ago as is allowed (they issue a post dated license). About 10 days ago I get a 'your application has been rejected letter'. I thought OK, they are going to make me wait the full 12 months, but I phoned up in case they knew something I didn't. Oh sorry, that was an error, we'll 'un-bin' the paperwork and send it to the medical department.
Last week. I receive my cheque back. Phone again - oh, sorry. That was done automatically when we rejected your application. Can you send us another cheque with this reference number and we will process it.
Posted cheque.
This morning - letter through the door with my original application form 'No cheque enclosed' Please resubmit.
I am going to SCREAM.
And breath. I blitzed the kitchen instead of shouting at them. I am about the phone them and ask very nicely what I should do now.
(((hugs))) and spoons to those in need. I'm keeping the sticks for the time being.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
