Evening - thanks for the lists pigpen :A

I know some of you have seen on FB but I had some fab news over the weekend . . . . .

My avatar is of a gravestone of an 'unknown sailor' in Cassino War Cemetery which, after much research, we believed to be that of my Grandfather. On Friday, having reviewed our evidence and conducted their own research, the MOD agreed and he will now finally be getting his name on a gravestone :j :D

    Monday - kitchen

    Level One

    Clear and wipe work surfaces
    Wipe and replace small appliances

    Level Two
Wipe the front of the units, kickboards and the large appliances
    Sweep and mop the floor

    Level Three
    De-web and fluff the room

    That's great news froddy :)

Aww katiecat make sure you have some support - it's hard to get back in the stride xxx

DS is still awake. I've been trimming his toenails (ugh) while he was on my phone asking Siri ridiculous questions lol. He's a sweaty boy. I wanted to put deodorant on him. Is he too young?, lol. I washed his feet, anyway.

Kitchen is all tidied ready to be messed up again tomorrow...

I haven't met my step target today - despite going the long way round to school via the postbox. Hmmph. That's 2 days I've missed. Will try do more tomorrow...

Hope you all have a peaceful night xx

    Wow; that's a great result.

Done a bit more of a report.
Cleared and wiped a worktop in the kitchen.
    Emptied bin and compost bin.
    Swept floor.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

    Brilliant news, Froddy :T
    (((Hugs))) to Katiecat.
Nice to have you back with us, bargainhunterss.
Hope the big meeting re your DS2 goes well, dancemum.

Today I have done WMx1 and dried it outside, written a long email and a few shorter ones, and this evening I called at all of the 65 houses where I had delivered the red CA donation envelopes yesterday and then delivered another 25 to the next road, which I hadn't realised was my "patch" until I checked the list in my bag at teatime :o I haven't got a steps counter thingummy, but I must have clocked up quite a few today :)

I also went with DH to the Dr this afternoon, as he has a painful leg which the Dr says is cellulitis, and we then went to the glass centre to have a :coffee: and buy some little presents to take to Germany.
The centre houses several glass artists' studios, alongside a college for young people with learning difficulties, where they can learn catering and various crafts. I bought some little glass tea light holders which they had decorated with traditional cut glass designs - they look really good - and a beautiful tree bauble with swirls of red and orange glass. Very pleased with both the quality and the price :)

Tomorrow I am out at my vol job all day and will try to collect the final 25 envelopes and deliver some other church leaflets elsewhere in the evening, so there won't be much time for anything else. I will S&S the bathroom and kitchen, and perhaps I can persuade DH to mow the lawn!

Will look in again when I can...

    Morning everyone

Hugs Katiecat. And Froddington how exciting, I remember you talking about this a while back.

Thanks for reminding me about the envelope Iona I need to fill mine!

Just finished a few bits off in the kitchen. Both jobs today then a trip to the shops tonight to find DS2 some footwear for a party on Saturday. Might be stressful.

Bossy, he isnt too young. My eldest uses some Dove stuff for sensitive skin, he is a bit delicate.

Just finished off a few bits in the kitchen. LR desperately needs hoovering. I need to get in the shower and get moving! What to do about tea tonight? I dont want to end up eating out.

    Morning all
    Brilliant news froddington.
My granddads brother is in an unmarked grave in Lincolnshire, he is mentioned on two war memorials, I had brief contact a few years ago with a distant relative who was considering whether he should have a war grave. I wonder if anything got done about it. Adds to mental list of things to check.

Question I'm also pondering, I feel fine generally but a couple of times recently I've felt a bit weird at night, like I'm going to have a nose bleed but dont and a bit wobbly and palpatational (if that's a word) I've asked Dh to use his sports bp monitor on me I'm getting 145/95 which he tells me is high. I had a wobble last night and again got that reading but after he's gone work I've checked it again when I first got up and it's still the same. Does anyone know enough about blood pressure to say if this is something I should be bothering a dr with. As I said I generally feel ok.

Not in work till lunchtime today but need to get the lads shifted and then clear the ironing and mending, if it's fine this afty I may eat a small frog that is glossing the garage door frame.

Have a good day all, hugs coping vibes and good wishes for all who need them.

    Morning all.

Good news froddy and hugs to Katie. Look after yourself x
Ionafan- that brings back many a happy memory. Delivering CA envelopes with my next door neighbour and counting all the donations. I think she still does it but we don't receive them round here. If you have the right phone you can download an app called 'pacer'. If you have it in your pocket it will track your steps.
