When searching on Google for information about bus services in cities, try including the words "transit" or "rapid transit" as well as the city name. For example I found these sites:
    Key West http://www.kwtransit.com
    Niagara Falls (Ontario) https://www.niagarafalls.ca/living/transit

Good point, Carolinas are on my list.

Tuesday Tenor, it sounds lovely. I really hope we manage to get to visit Niagra. Snap we have many plastic mac`s! think our last addition was Ellis Island, New York.

We have done a lot of traveling on local buses in the US, my daughter is very good at planning and they were brilliant and a cheap way to travel. Best bus system we have found was in Chicago.

dougzz, the more I read about Key West the more I am learning, spoke to a friend this morning who was there last year and she said 2 days max to see it... must have been very naive, really thought it was a chilled and laid back type of place. I don`t know anything about Austin, Texas. New Orleans, is still on our list.

After all your help and suggestions wanted to let you know we have booked our flights all with United (went with them last year and they were great also came out cheapest)

Manchester to Washington DC Dulles - 6 days (7 nights there)
Return New Orleans to Manchester with a change at Dulles these are on 1 ticket

Washington Regan airport to Buffallo for our 2 days (3 nights in Niagra - Canadian side)
Buffallo to New Orleans 4 days (5 nights) another ticket

We decided to miss out Key West, I am disappointed but the flights didn`t seem to work.

Hotels booked in Washington and Niagra just struggling a bit with New Orleans but am sure by the weekend that will be sorted. We go in just over 3 weeks!! yes I know `last minute annie!!`

Thanks again for all your help
