I have finally had a letter back from VCS today and I am in need of further information and guidance please. They seem to contradict that I have not admitted being the driver in a couple of paragraphs, to saying in one that I have owned up (I haven't) but all in all the response I sent back was rejected as was expected. What now? I'm a little clueless with some of the things they say. See attached images for the letter I received.

Baring in mind I was stopped for a very short period of time in order to turn around and had to wait for the cars to pass before setting off in a safe time to do so, would I be best to appeal and explain that this is what the 'driver' was doing to appeal it?

    Thanks in advance

If VCS have rejected your appeal then some current advice is to simply file it away and ignore anything else EXCEPT a formal LBCCC or actual court papers. A further appeal to the IAS is pretty pointless as the chances of you winning are negligible - even with a cast-iron case. (Search this forum for kangaroo).

Ok thanks, what are the chances of me actually getting an official court letter? Has anyone from the same area ever had one before?

Got this in the post over the weekend, I'm assuming I should continue in to ignore. Thanks

Unless you're thinking of paying it, there's nowhere else to go on it unless they serve court papers. Unlikely, but never say never.

Keep your head down, sit tight, retain all paperwork - they have six years to pursue you.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Another letter today with referral to BW Legal... Wondering if others have had letters from the same firm and if they are a legit company. And on BOTH letters my address was typed out as I have shown, with Close and, Merseyside being merged onto the same line? Unprofessional error?

there are dozens of similar letters from BW LEGAL on behalf of VCS and also EXCEL (sister companies both owned by Renshaw-Smith) on here and over on pepipoo forums so yes they are legit and they are progressing them into LBC letters and also to MCOL court claims too

use BW LEGAL as a search option in the forum search box , or BW LEGAL £54 as well
  • Thank you, I think I am just going to write an appeal to them because I was simply turning around and waiting for the other cars to pass before it was safe to move off again. There was only a minute difference between the first and last photos that were taken which isn't proof enough that I was 'parked' for any amount of time. I was simply waiting for a clear path to move again. I wish I had written an appeal in the first place, I'll see what happens.
