Saturday 14th/Sunday 15th - what small DFW things will you do this weekend?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Morning all :hello: wow made it to Saturday this time in two weeks we'll be at the airport. That's the light at the end of the tunnel at the moment anyway on to more short term goals :
Hang washing out that was done at 30 overnight, another load on and that will go out too
Wrap present for party we're going to this afternoon, present bought ages ago in sale
Meals from stores
Call NT and add DD to membership or see if I can do it online
Quick vac round
Find something to do with cauli that's on its way out - maybe fritters or bhaji
Take heaters we borrowed back to friends
Log meter readings online - our gas has dropped dramatically in the last month :T
Meal plan for next two weeks so we can buy the minimum so we don't have anything fresh left when we go away.
Anyone help with preloaded credit cards. Took one as a test for a reward for surveys (it's online) for £5. I think I'm being daft as how to use it, I take it I can only use it for payments under £5 as I can't specify when I check out that there is only £5 on the card. If I cash out the rest will it be added to the same card/number or will it be different. Alternatively if I cash it out to PayPal do I have to pay fees? TIA.
Think that's all for now, I'm sure there will be more later. PF.0 -

.
It depends on the survey company and the brand of the pre-loaded card. You would need to ask both companies I'm afraid.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 The Joy Account: £10 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -

Have fallen off the track a little as now working regular hours and not had a chance to log in for a while.. so a few unnecessary and indulgent spends and need to get myself on track..:(:( Definitely going to try and make more of an effort to log in on MSE as keeps me on the straight and narrow. So
- not spending anymore money today or tmrw I hope
- pack an amazon book ready to post for Monday
- sort out budget until next pay day so know how much money I have left - have already removed the £200 I need for tax payment due in July
- food from fridge/stores (was planning on getting a take-away tonight as a wkd treat but nope, something nice to be cooked from stores)
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)Debt outstanding [STRIKE]£3491.[/STRIKE] £3303

Hi May Marvellous-oes,
Thanks for the starter PF.
Busy day today. We're off to Glasgow to the Opera tonight but thought we should probably make a day of it as we're paying for the train ticket...
It's going to be sunny which will help!
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* Having a big breakfast before we leave.
* Walk from station to Glasgow Green (park) via the riverside walkway. Have a walk around park and drink our own coffee.
* Visit the People's Palace. We've been before, but it's free, and quite lovely. DW can do some photogra-faffing.
* Walk around the Barra's Market. DW has never been here. Perhaps there'll be a bargain or two, you never know.
* Get the Subway to Kelvingrove and mess around in the park there and at the free museum.
* Go back to the city and have dinner. Not quite decided where we're going for this. Need to look for coupons.
* Off to the Opera. Keeping it light this time, a Savoy Opera on £12 tickets. Tke in our own drinks and sweeties.
How about you folks?

Hi guys
Hope everyone is doing well.
Yasmin - not to worry about falling off track a little - you can pull it back in I'm sure
Interested about this pre-paid card chat - we're going on holiday soon so might look into these too...
I've paid a bill I need to pay and sorted YNAB.
Transferred money to a/c from surveys - £6 better in my a/c than as points
Parents are here and dad is paying for dinner
Not much else going on...

Good morning everyone
Didn't want to get up at 6.45 when my alarm went off this morning, and am actually debating going back to sleep after I've written on here. Had to get up though as I had a training session at half past seven.
Yasmin, I've been struggling with being a bit spendy recently as well. I use it as a comfort when things aren't right in my own head, and when I'm too busy to be bothered with much else. Just don't give up.
So here is today:
:cheesy: Check banking and PAD
:cheesy: Training 7.30
:cheesy: Minimal housework
:cheesy: Nap if I need it
:cheesy: Crochet
:cheesy: Minimal schoolwork
:cheesy: DS to football
:cheesy: DS to gymnastics
:cheesy: Visit my mam for tlc, a catch up and a free feed
:cheesy: Go through my budget again - I just seem to be spending left, right and centre at the moment.
:cheesy: Be kind to myself and to dh, who isn't doing too well today.
:cheesy: Get my 10000 steps in to stay on track with a B0unts challenge I'm doing
Have a good day all - looks like I'm going to be busy today. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Follow the link for more information. (Link) You need to watch though as some overseas companies won't accept them. Car hire companies and petrol stations are notorious for this and you don't get Section 75 consumer protection with them either.

Hi All
Ally have fun at the opera.
OH has been up in the loft getting the cot down. He's currently in the bathroom cleaning it. DD has got to the point where she is able to pull herself up too much for the moses basket to be safe anymore. We are hoping she will sleep better in the cot too.
She's not that well at the moment. Seems to have some random sickness bug that has made her phycially sick twice this week but the rest of the time has just been a fluctuating temp and slightly upset tummy. Nothing like you were describing MTC
Other small things
Cycling or walking my journeys
Using £1 special offer mince from Icyland (if anyone wants to take advantage the deal is on until the 17th) to make burgers tonight. We've also had lasgne, chilli and spag bol this week all for less than £5.
Found 1p whilst out on my bike earlier
Think that's it for now. Too tired to think straight.
