Click on "User Lists" and one option is "Add to ignore list".
It's a very useful feature
Thank you for this - I have a feeling this may come in handy!0 -
When I get an email I go to read the post.
Sometimes it is useless, nasty and provocating.
May be that's what such people intend.
They are a waste of time and space.
These posts also help to bump up their 'Posts on the Forum' figure.
It s quality that matters and not quantity.
There is a facility to thank a post.
Is it possible for MSE to add a facility to add an 'ignore button' to block out a poster?
If a number that show how many people ignore a poster is shown below their name, it might even make them think twice before posting.
This info could be shown under the "Thanked xx Times in xx Posts"
Quality of the MSE Forum will vastly be improved.
It is easy to ignore posts, just do not read them.
However please to not try to remove that option form people
who do want to read the post.
Just because you do not want to read a post does not mean I do not.
What is useless, nasty and provocating is subjective, I might consider your post to be all three.
Ignore the post count it is just a meaningless number it has nothing to do with the post content.0
