Octopus Energy reviews: Give your feedback

Perhaps they are getting confused with Agile, for which that is largely correct. All the pages on the website that show Tracker rates are still showing today's at this moment.Telegraph_Sam said:I have always felt that rather more "weight" ought to be given in search engine rankings to customer service feedback.
Octopus tell me that at 4 pm each day they publish the next day's Tracker prices, somewhere on the website. But they don't say where. Has anyone sussed this out?

Telegraph_Sam If it helps based on Agile rates for tomorrow, Tracker E likely to be nearer 16pkwh rate than 15p kwh rate or 15.5p ish

Tks but I am not particularly concerned with tomorrow but more with how (or if) I can look these things up in future as I was led to believe. I'm not sure that I understand the relationship between Agile and Tracker and no doubt there are regional differences also. The last time we touched on 16 p here briefly was a month ago.Telegraph Sam
There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know0 -
The calculations to determine Agile and Tracker rates are both based on the wholesale cost, so they will tend to move in line with each other. Tracker price is coming up as 16.5p today in my region!Telegraph_Sam said:Tks but I am not particularly concerned with tomorrow but more with how (or if) I can look these things up in future as I was led to believe. Not sure i follow the question you are asking. Are you wanting to predict the wholesale price for the coming months? Are you wanting to know what the future tracker prices are?Telegraph_Sam said:Tks but I am not particularly concerned with tomorrow but more with how (or if) I can look these things up in future as I was led to believe. This may help you for trends up till now: https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/data-portal/overview
Historical "tracker" rates are on the websites we've already mentioned.
Current Wholesale prices: https://www.nordpoolgroup.com/Market-data1/GB/Auction-prices/UK/Daily/?view=table
Not sure how much these are going to "help" you on your quest though.0 -
I cannot believe that anybody in Octopus has led you to believe that you can, with certainty, predict future wholesale energy prices. As said, there are a number of websites that forecast the direction of energy prices but if it was that easy the guys involved would be sitting on a warm beach somewhere spending their £Ms.Telegraph_Sam said:Tks but I am not particularly concerned with tomorrow but more with how (or if) I can look these things up in future as I was led to believe. As far as Agile is concerned, no one predicted the drop in wholesale prices this time last year nor did anyone predict the increase in wholesale prices from November onwards. The latter was, in part, due to a perfect storm of unforeseen nuclear power station problems leading to shutdowns and maintenance run ons; a broken interconnector, and a lack of renewable energy.0 -
Wonder how this affected the wholesale price, if at all.
Sun and wind generated 60% of all electricity on Monday, data shows

It pretty much halved the wholesale price to £31.07 per MWh. It's back to twice that today.

My previous query was simply to find out where to find the following day's Tracker prices after these have been published at 4 pm on any day as I was told was the case by the Octopus ladyTelegraph Sam
