And as suggested previously, better to sign-up now, and then have 14 days to change your mind, than procrastinate and miss the current versions.

Just for clarity, I wasn't recommending that you switch to Tracker (it may not be right for you).
More that you if you were virtually decided, but needed some final points, you change your mind afterwards.

Also, as Tracker is not fixed, you can revert back to SVT at any time, not just the first 14 days (my mistake).

Makes no difference whether fixed or not can revert back to SVT at any time being as no exit fees.

That's sort of what I meant!
As it has no exit fees (like many fixed tariffs do).

That's sort of how I understood it. Tracker seems to be a kind of half way house between a variable and fixed tariff sharing features of both.

If by "some people" you mean ">0 but hardly anyone", I can agree.
    • If you come to the end of an existing fix, you'll be offered Loyal Octopus (currently 50p / 15p). Accepting the higher fix instead would be an unusual choice.
    • If you're a new customer switching in, you'll have actively chosen the tariff.

No I mean people who receive a fix with a £ amount and they decide ok its horrendous but affordable they sign up without knowing pence per kWh.

I think that's been evident on this forum since the April price cap. The majority come on quoting pounds and pence and most probably don't end up here for advice.

So you think 0 fair enough but that goes against everything I have seen on this forum so far.

It could be termed a "FLY TRAP"
