Tesco product I bought a year ego

Hi all

Not sure this is the right forum but I am looking for help

I need to track down a product which I bought between jan-April 2015 from tesco supermarket.

Tesco are saying they do not have purchase history for older than 45 days. I don't think it's true.

Can anyone please guide me on how I can get the list of all products I bought from tesco during jan-April of 2015

Thanks in advance
SR

Many questions spring to mind here, but first and foremost - Why?

They will have records going back several years, but those records will not be available to front line staff. The likelihood of them searching out an archived transaction for a customer is low - unless there is a good reason for doing so.

What is the reason you need this information?

In these circumstances you will have a very slim to zero chance of Tesco trawling through four months of records to assist.

What was the item and how did you pay?

I paid using my credit card for which I have transaction details. The product was less than £10

If they hold the data, then you could do a Subject Access Request (normally costs £10) and they'd have to give you the data.

If they don't, have you still got the receipt?
You could ask in store if anyone remembers you buying it?
Do any of your friends/family know what you bought?
Did you post about buying it on Facebook or would a message about it be in your Sent Emails folder, etc?

[Cross-posted with other replies. Looks like I slightly got the wrong end of the stick. I thought you were trying to remember what it was that you bought.]

If the item was faulty, then your credit card statement could act as proof of purchase. However in your situation, Tesco have absolutely no obligation to search through their records.

Only thing I would suggest, would be to contact Tesco head office and say "On X date at X time I purchased X item with credit card (123465) from X store. Would it be possible to email be a record of this purchase"

If they refuse, then you have no other options available.

A SAR wouldn't apply as OP would not have given any personal identifying details when purchasing the item.

The mind boggles - too cheap for a gift for your secret partner - maybe condoms/massage oil/red wine when current spouse only drinks white :rotfl:
