  • Hi LBM,

It is good, I am just lazy lol. I have two big items on there at the moment which should net about £200, but I am positive there is loads more in the house. Well done on your sales, are you listing as buy it now or waiting for auctions to finish?

You are right, we have wasted so much money over the years, we are both hobbyists and there is so much to do with just those we could sell.

I saw on Streetlife about a couple of local car boots today, so at least I can get rid of the little bits. Fingers crossed for the warm weather. Plus thankfully we could cancel the vet appt today as the dog seems fine today, I think I was imagining things yesterday.

I think you are so positive and determined that you will find a way. :T:T

    Keep digging through those cupboards.

  • Good Morning everybody,

Bamabi - It is good news about your little four legged friend. I have two dogs and they are amazing, I really would not be without them. Keep going on the ebay side of things as it is worth it in the end.

Well another item sold over night on ebay so the sales are still amounting up. I am still listing five new items each day and am going to continue doing that.

Food budget is still going really well. I think for next week I am going to have a good look in the freezer which is so full of stuff, to the point I really do not know what is in there, which is bad. So this needs sorting out.

I have had a look at the weather for this weekend and it says it is going to rain so I will keep an eye on that and if it does not change will go to the car boot sale the week after if the weather is nice.

I have also started to look at moving the debt around a little with the aim of getting it all on 0% rates. So this morning I have moved two amounts over which will help. I have a Virgin / MBNA card and they usually have promotions on all the time for BT 0% so waiting for one of them to come up to move the remaining amount to a 0%. This would then mean all the amount would be on 0%, which does help so much.

Take care everybody and I hope you all have a great day.

  • Hi Everybody

Well I am still on a roll with ebay another four items sold so they have been wrapped and took to the post office. I have paid the fees again and transferred the cash over to my bank account. Halt has been put into the savings account and half paid to the c/c with the highest interest rate.

Goals for today are I am going to list another five things on ebay .
Make a list of the food in the freezer so I can do a shopping list for shopping tomorrow.

Not much else to report really.

Hope everybody is ok and not spending too much cash.

  • Hi Everybody

Where are the weeks going I cannot believe it is weekend again.

Well I have had another six sales on ebay. So all wrapped and `I am going to go up to the post office later on this afternoon. I have paid the ebay fees again and as soon as I know the postage costs I will transfer the money into my bank account and split what is left between the savings account and a payment on my credit card.

In a strange way I am really looking forward to having a look at the statements this month to see how much the balances have come down. I know it is sad, but I am hoping that will motivate me to keep up the listing of junk on ebay.

Going to go shopping again tonight as I found that this really worked and we did not have any takeaways over the weekend, which are so expensive.

    Goals for next week are:

Keep listing five items a day on ebay.
Stick to a budget of £70 for food shopping.
Have 2 NSD, something I have never really looked at.
    No takeaway food.
Car Boot sale over the bank holiday weekend.

I really hope every body has a great weekend.

    Take care

hi LBM just had a quick read through your dairy you are going great guns and absolutely rocking the world of ebay - I have 5 items up just now all BNWT and not a single watcher:(
anyway Ill just keep listing, keep my fingers crossed and hope a bit of your magic rubs off :D

Its incredible the money we waste on "things" like you I can point to very little that contributed to my debt perhaps a couple of nice holidays but not c£40ks worth  - anyway wanted to wish you lots of luck and will subscribe to keep me inspired and motivated and follow your journey

  • Looking forward to your figures update LBM I bet you have done wonders already.

4 ebay items on atm, one item is quite unusual to see for sale so it is going great guns, hoping for a bidding frenzy tomorrow when it finishes! Going to go through DS wardrobe (aka the dumping ground) tomorrow and see what I can find!

  • Hi Everybody

Well I have not posted as I have been so busy over the weekend, but not busy spending money!

I have carried on listing my lovely junk on ebay and wrapping stuff up to take to the post office. I had a look this morning and since 1st May the total sales on my account are ........................... wait for it £1275.30, I cannot believe it. Obviously, this is total sales and fees need to come off that but I am made up with that. I have set myself a goal to see if I can get that to £1500 by the end of this month. Which would be great to reach for all the stuff in the house people no longer want, wanted in the first place or use.

Scotdebs - Thank you so much for your reply. I know what you mean I really hate the thought of all that money on my credit cards and not really having anything to show for it really. If I had gone out and purchased a brand new car that I could look at and see the monetary value then that would be a lot more acceptable but I have a whole lot of nothing.

Bambi - Keep going on ebay as it can be very rewarding and just think every penny does help.

I have subscribed to both of your dairies to see what you two are getting up too.

    As for my goals:

I have continued to list five items each day on ebay.
    Kept to the food budget.
I had a NSD yesterday so one more to go this week.
I have also started to freeze left over food if there is enough for a portion. In times gone by this would have gone in the bin. I am going to have a night were all these portions will get used up, which will keep me in my food budget.

Any way feel like I have gone on for too long. Take care everybody and have a really nice day.

  • Hi

I know it really is cool. I feel like I have a full time job in a Amazon warehouse as all I do is wrap stuff up to post at the moment. But I really am not moaning at all as I am seeing the results in my bank and credit card balances.

I know what you mean, I had my biggest sales this weekend (6), and wrapping it on Sunday took me half an hour!!! The people at the Post Office know me now, but even they were shocked at the amount I had, they're used to just one or two from me :rotfl:
