Good morning from another who didn't sleep last night . It was 26 here yesterday and the night was very sticky and humid . We are forecast a hot day again and not likely to rain . I suspect many of us will be wilting with lack of sleep later today .
Jackie My thoughts are with you today and in the days to come .
All washing was done yesterday , there is some ironing left for today which I will do this morning . Lots of quiche and salad in the fridge so no plans to cook today . Have some phone calls to make once the world wakes up and some paperwork to sort for tomorrow .
Have a good day all . The TAs timed their break well . Hope all is well in the Candlelight house . Hugs where needed
Just noticed I have been awake for 24 hours - early night tonight

Hi everyone,
NMLC, so sorry for your loss. Jackie, I hope everything goes well.
We came back from Yorkshire yesterday, having had a lovely time in the warmer weather. I finally managed to climb Pen-y-Ghent, the highest peak in Yorkshire, I have been dithering over it for ages, not the height but whether I would physically be able to do it. We took it very slowly with plenty of stops but no problems and only normal soreness in my legs now. I'm glad I did it and feel proud of myself but won't ever do it again!
DH decided to mow the lawn when we got back, while he was doing it I heard an almighty bang and raced out imagining him blown up on the lawn. He as fine but it turned out the big pane in the front window was smashed to smithereens (the outside skin only thankfully). I ned to ring the company for a replacement.
I also have DFS coming too pick up the settee for repair and I have a Dr appt to discuss my last blood tests. I know he'll want to reduce my thyroxine levels but I will try to fight that. I know my own body and there is no way I'm overactive- even my fitbit tells me my resting heart rate is under 60 beats a minute. Wish me luck.0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
Just waiting for shopping to be delivered but wanted to pop on to wish JackieO a safe journey and my condolences to nmlc.
I woke at 4 this morning as I was so hot and that was with sleeping on top of the covers. I'm going to ask hubby to bring the fans down from the loft later on. It's so lovely to see the sunshine though even if I am a melty mess in it.
I'm going to walk to the post office this morning to get some money out. It's only at the bottom of my road but it will be a start.
I'm making fish and home made chips for tea as I have a real fancy for some. I've bought the least 'syn-ful' option and will have it with mushy peas and a side salad. Yesterday's pork and salad was lovely although the coleslaw had gone off. That reminds me, I need to check the fridge setting as my milk keeps going off quickly too.
Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx0 -
Good morning all, I hope you are all well.
Nmlc sorry to hear about ill person, but glad that they are not suffering any longer. Hugs to you xxx
Jackie safe journey xxx
Yesterday I did end up writing a housework/ to do list which actually worked well for me. I managed to get most of the list done, so I will do another list today. After completing the list, I took DS to the park for a couple of hours. Afterwards,we came home and did dinner on a barbecue and ate outside. Our garden needs a bit of a tidy so I may have to add that onto my list. It won't all get done as there is too much to do, but a start would be good. In the evening we sat on the trampoline, watching trees swaying, bats flying and stars popping out. It was lovely and we didn't come inside until 10.45. I did think it would do my son good to have so much fresh air, but it was still 1am before he settled. We are seeing the Doc next week who specialises in this type of behaviour. He suffers from a combination of extreme anxiety, hyperactivity and sleep problems. A lot of what we do is based on alleviating his symptoms and keeping his mental health intact, but truth be told, As much as I love my son,I am worn out with his sleep disorder.
Today I hope to take him to a 'forest school' which runs on a Monday morning. It's lovely there. More of the in touch with Nature, plus there are lessons on wood chopping, nest building, den building, bird watching, tree recognition and much more. I will have to wake dear son because after falling asleep so late, he is likely to sleep in.
Onwards and upwards, I hope you all have a good Monday . Hugs to those that need one xxx“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0
