Stair Gate on LO's bedroom door?

I would definitely avoid sleeping in the same room as her, such a hard habit to break. Had the same problems with my daughter, really bad, it's so exhausting, solved it by getting her Dad to see to her when she woke up, as it was really me she wanted, so this weaned her off. We also had to reduce lots of cuddles (which are basically a reward) to a quick pat and telling her she's fine. You have got to do whatever you've got to do in ths situation for your own sanity. Good luck0

We took the sides off our lo's cot when he was about 2 as he wasn't sleeping well as he kept kicking the edges.
We made a huge thing of it! He "helped" unscrew the sides and helped put it back together as a bed and then he spent the next hour getting in and out of the bed!!
We had to put a gate on his door to keep him safe as we had very steep stairs and no way of putting a stair gate across the top of them, but after we made his cot into a bed he slept better and usually just stayed in it anyway. I think at that age we'd have still put a gate across his room as I had visions of him turning the taps on in the bathroom or falling down the loo of all things!!! (paranoid mum!!)
Now he's 3 we have moved house and just have a roller gate across the top of the stairs after we've gone to bed just for piece of mind as he still isn't completely safe on stairs, especially in the dark.0
