I'm impressed by all you early risers. Normally I'd be up early but slept in today. However have made a few steps
1. Switched from K*llogs cornflakes to T*sco's own brand - a drop from almost £2 to 25p per box.
2. One load of washing on the line and another in the machine ready to follow it
3. Checked online banking and took note of those DD items that still need to be reduced (have already negotiated phone line/internet, satellite tv package and just made last payment to bank loan)
4. Dinner will be leftovers/cupboard staples/fridge - I must NOT get a takeaway this weekend ...Looking ahead0 -

Hi I'm back,
The List Continued
* Booked theatre tickets for next weekend to go to see the Scottish Opera in Glasgow. £12.90 each as we'll be up "in the Gods" on the balcony. You get a great view from there, though, and they've recently installed a lift so you don't have to mountain climb four floors to get there. :rotfl:
How about you guys?

Cat hope you are having a good PJ day
BB wow caught up on the ice skate saga. So sorry. What good fortune that your brother in law was around.
Well today has been good so far. I had the good luck to find yet another triple points voucher (so have used 1 and have 2 more) & a £1 off on a £10 spend voucher which is as good as finding £1 as I will definitely use it. I find it annoying when vouchers are set at such high values like £20 off a £60 spend as I don't really shop that way.
I have spent some time researching a company I may buy shares in once I am DF. I used to enjoy individual stock buying and find it more interesting than simply saving in a cash account.
Nationwide had sent transfer paperwork for my son's CTF so I need to fill that in and return.
Got a free Costalots using my loyalty points.
Excitingly the trade in value of our DVDs was double the price at the trade in shop compared to music magpie. If you have a CEX near you its worth a look. So that is £10 extra earned this month.
A friend has given us a new baby sling as the one I was using didn't have much support. So I'm going to try and sell my exisitng one which is a baby Bjorn so hopefully should get me a little back.
Ally we both used to scuba dive pre kids so I feel your pain. Sadly it's a little rich for our blood now. Now we walk and cycle for kicks" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hello all,
Not a bad day on the money saving front:
*Parked on outskirts of town & walked in to avoid car parking fees.
*Free coffees in Waitrose.
*Needed shampoo & conditioner & I like a particular brand £5.99 each, which is more than I would prefer to pay but my hair got very damaged last year & it's improved with using this. Discovered it on 3 for 2 in Waitrose. Spending over £10 meant we qualified for a free newspaper too, plus I picked up their latest free food magazine & a nice recipe card for something crumby on pork chops.
*2 resources purchased for my 'Tart up the courtyard' project. Actually, may have talked about this on my blog & not on here, but basically, my budget for this is £6 & I am still under-budget.
*mr f planted our potatoes while I sorted out my outdoor tomatoes. Future food supplies. V important!
*Free fitness walking into town, walking around town generally & going up & down the garden about 100 times. I shall hit over 7000 steps today.
*All free leisure. Really enjoying latest library book, will finish final item for knitting order, watch more of a tv series on Amazon Prime & read all the freebies I picked up from Waitrose. Have also updated my blog.
*Cashed in survey points for my Ugov £50 & did an Ipsos survey. Was kicked out, but they did chuck 25 points in my direction for my trouble..
*2 more knitting orders received.....for items I've already got in stock so that's good.
*2 baths from one lot of hot water later on, before tomato-bed, pot-shifter's muscles seize up.
*Oh, & bought a couple of little vintage items from charity shop which I think I can sell on at a profit.
Have a nice evening, all.
LegoMum, that is just terrible luck. Sorry to hear that. Rest your injuries & insist that you are cherished & waited on.

If you ever want a new sling, or replacement parts for one you might want to look at www.actionbabycarriers.co.uk or www.vija-design.co.uk. Both are run by a dear friend of mine.

What were you into?
Foxgloves I'm sure that shampoo probably keeps you from needing more expensive salon treatments so probably is worth it in the long run." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hi all
Oh poor you LegoMum. Hugs and healing vibes your way x
So I went to bed very early last night and had a dreadful nights sleep. I keep having these awful vivid dreams about terrible things happening to DS1. I am sure these are deeply buried fears about him going out into the big bad world on his own after me caring for him through his illness. Strange how the old mind works eh?
Anyhow after a brisk walk down the fields with the dog at half eight I cracked on with some work. I have done 7.5hrs and have still managed to get some washing out and put a chilli in the slow cooker. Quite pleased with myself.
Oh and I got a new book from the library yesterday only to find I have read it. Would it be OK to buy a book for the kindle do you think? Need to see what I can find for 99p or less.
And thats me done I think. A bit of ironing to sort but it can wait.0 -
