another NIP this morning, same lights speeding. Must have tried to make the lights.
I have had a form back from the DVLA to say they have updated their records. Does this likely mean the other address is valid?0 -
if you read carefully , it will say you are no longer the registered keeper , from the moment that paper was issued (on email if done online) , the name/address of the new owner is not your responsibility.
hold on tight to your paperwork , and respond to the nips , giving as much info as requested when asked.Save a Rachael

Just s@ds law I missed the 6pm deadline monday0

and in the old days of posting it in , it would have been 5 days later,
perhaps they arrived at 6pm , knowing that they would get "tax free / insurance free" immunity till the next day?Save a Rachael

Making a paper declaration would have been safer, both sign with that days date on and post.
You may have to attend court now to make a sworn affidavit in front of a judge as to the time it was sold.
Just fill in the NIP and post it back and await the decision they make.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
to anyone else reading this,do not sell these cars to people like this because you are knowingly selling them as pool cars to scum, imagine if they ran someone down too on the way home

"People like these"
And what people are these?
Buyer has done nothing wrong... Got caught jumping a red like most drivers have or will do at some point, but no suggestion he's done anything wrong as far as op is concerned0 -
Filled in both NIP with the info given on V5 ( still have this as DVLA said not to send in when registering the change on website ) and given the mobile number they rang me from.0

"People like these"
And what people are these?
People who get caught jumping a red light one day then get caught for speeding the next day and this in a vehicle that was sold as "spares or repair" for £75 so I doubt if it's even safe to drive.
Hardly a winner in the good driver category are they?0 -
I was driving it the week before and have been all year. I just decided that as I couldn't fix the bit myself ( 95 % labour) and it was leaking some oil I would upgrade what the wife was driving. It was in for nearly double that but after some time wasters I just wanted it gone. I'm really fond of that car and didn't want to see it scrapped tbh.
Not everyone is on the make. I bought my first car for £110 with 3 weeks mot and it passed straight through. I've just bought another car very cheaply with all the tax, mot, insurance etc but it's got 2 bad wings. I'm swapping some bits over to mine as it's the same model then will scrap it. The bits are far more expensive to replace than the cost of the car, was I iffy. Most certainly not!
And they jumped through the red light which must also be a speed one so it was both off the same camera.0
