I've long since thought that far too many people pay far too much attention to the thanks button/thanks given and what it means. Some people blindly thank every post as a marker of what they've read, some people won't thank a certain persons posts no matter how useful it is out of some contempt for that person. Really, it isn't a measure of anything at all other than who likes who.

I do think it's polite to thank a post or poster that you've benefitted from financially. I'm sure that's why it was put here in the first place. on this thread however, it's used as a popularity contest and that goes horribly wrong sometimes.

I'd be just as happy if the thanks button was removed. And I know it's easy to get hung up on small stuff but if an entity on a website hitting a thanks button is all you have to worry about.......can I swap with you? :rotfl::rotfl:

I was glad I was on it as I have taken advantage of the glitch and feel it's polite to thank the OP. I often skim these days so sometimes miss OP's but was pleased to see I hadn't this time. :cool:

I got 4 peperami yesterday, multi came off only once. When I looked, one of them had a different barcode to the others.

I've got quite a selection of beers that were free for cashback but apparently no one cool under the age of 30 would ever drink as they are old men's drinks - that was what I was told anyway
So I dare not risk buying any more beer without consulting the oracle

I've not been glitch shopping, not got any beer, not been to !!!!!! or Sada this week and my name is not on any list unless someone starts a list of people who are not listed :rotfl:

What are the chances of you meeting us on the 23rd?? If someone came and picked you up/dropped you off? You are not that far away at all. I know you don't drive but I'd REALLY LOVE TO MEET YOU you can say no but we have enough resources between our bunch of ladies to make it possible if you feel up for it. I thought of this today.

My biggest laugh today was from Henlans....sorry Henlans. Who won't sell alcohol to people because he doesn't have a license but he will 'sell' to a shop.....the key word here is Selling. I think you'll find licensing laws don't care who you sell to. But it's ok because it's not tax deductible? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Who puts illegal alcohol sales through their books? I laughed more than Nerfy :rotfl:

But yes I agree some people genuinely thank posts for being useful, others thank their mates no matter what bile they spout.

I thank very few now after it was pointed out way back I had not thanked the thread starter blah de blah
