M&s Credit Card - £30 Voucher

I applied for the above card, as detailed in this week's MSE email. I checked with M&S that my last card with them was closed over 12 months ago and it was - just. However, my application has been unsuccessful and they are posting a letter to me saying why. I doubt this will give any proper detail though.
I think it more likely that on the last card I used the 0% on purchases, took the incentive vouchers, then cleared the balance at the end of the introductory period.
Anyone else been declined?

Just today someone I work with has applied for the same card and had an email back within the hour saying that the application had been referred to the underwriter. She asked me what that meant, but I'm afraid I didn't know as I hadn't come across it before.MFIT #73 - Pay all mortgage off in 3 years[STRIKE] £46,400[/STRIKE]£34,295 PAID £12,1050

Always be cautious when a card offer has be splashed across a popular site. They will get a huge influx of applications and will start to tighten their own internal credit score (not be be confused with the worthless Experian, Equifax scores etc)0

The letter arrived today. I was refused because I still had a card with them.
I phoned them up denying this, and it turns out my account wasn't fully closed. This has been rectified and I have now been accepted for the card.0 -

My father also applied and got the same email.
Not quite sure how quickly they turn these around - but they must have a backlog.0 -
I applied and it initially said that I would get an email from them with their decision within 3-5 days but in fact the email came within the hour telling me I was accepted.
No information on credit limit yet, but I'm not bothered because it's mainly the vouchers that I want but I have selected the minimum payment DD and I will use it for a slow stooze for the 19 months interest free period.
I was quite surprised because I was rejected for my last couple of credit card/current account applications, which isn't a surprise because I have several current accounts for the interest, some stoozed credit cards, a personal loan for home improvements and a car and kitchen on interest free credit.0 -
I got my agreement to sign, yesterday. Still no info on credit limit! Like above, it's the vouchers and a slow stooze I'm after.0

I went to apply and the link no longer works, so I assume the offer has been pulled. It was due to run for another month and there has been no announcement.
Anyone know what is going on?0 -
Maybe they've reached the number of cards/vouchers that they want to offer or are struggling to work through the applications and have placed a temporary hold on new applications.
Its probably a week since I've applied and I've had nothing in writing from them - I would have thought I would have had a credit agreement to sign or something similar.
But then again, they could have looked through their records and found the current account that was opened for the £100 voucher and has not been touched since and decided that I'm not a 'real' customer.0 -

It's inbetween "Computer says Yes" and "Computer says No". Means it will go to a human to decide.Just today someone I work with has applied for the same card and had an email back within the hour saying that the application had been referred to the underwriter.
