    Good morning,

Jackie – What lovely words. Very touching and thank you for sharing.
Dumpling – fantastic start, well done! Keep up the good work.

On reflection, my interview did go well yesterday. I think the only thing stopping me from getting a 2nd interview is the competition I’m up against really. Time will tell, I’ll let you know should I get an update.

On an MSE front, I was £8 for the parking which I wasn’t best pleased at. I also took advice from you guys and went to Aldi for a shop as opposed to my usual Tesco/Sainsburys – what a difference. Very impressed. I’ll be trying my 49p cous-cous for lunch today.

    Have a good day everyone.

What lovely words JackieO, you shared a special bond with him.

Well done Dumpling, what an achievment.

Glorious here today, off to allotment later, then bike ride with the ladies, and yoga tonight, how did I ever have time to go to work.

Had planned to go on railway yesterday, but not too many trains running, so we went to Bodiam Castle, then on to Dungeness before out for dinner.

Thanks to Hester for todays thread I hope the day is kind to you .
I hope today is better at work NMLC . Look after yourself .
Camelot I have three real christmas trees in the back garden - One which is now 8 foot high and needs to be stopped at that height , a medium and last years baby . I found planting both in pots and the ground was best in ericaceous compost . I used many bags planting in the ground and give them a feed twice a year and they thrive . They are all from Scotland and are as tough as old boots . I can never buy another as it is looking like a baby forest out there and I confess they are heavy to bring indoors for Christmas and I'm not as strong as I was
Dumpling You seem to have a new lease of life . Well done on the weight loss .
TA I used to buy B&Q plants until a few years ago when they were uncared for instore . I haven't looked there since . I find Morrisons very good , the plants are cheap as anything and in our store really well kept . I have lovely climbers and perennials for around £2 and some beautiful Christmas roses for 99p. Enjoy your night out and best wishes to Mr TA for his injection .
Gers You should work for visit Scotland . Your posts always make me long for a dose of the highlands . I hope you get your sunshine .
Elaine I wish you and your son a lovely trip to the woods . It sounds a lovely plan . Hugs to you both and to your daughter .
Well probably more posts since I started this so hugs to those who need . I hope the Candlelights are well .
The sun woke me around six this morning so the washing machine is doing its thing . Lots to do around the house and shopping to plan for a trip to town after the doctor tomorrow morning . Those who can't make up a washload this morning can have some of mine !
    Take care all x

Dumpling, well done on your first week's weight loss, that is almost half a stone.

I think now you have a meeting to look forward to it will be easier to lose weight and mainly you are able to leave your home.

No looking back now, just forward.

    Hugs

  • Good Morning everyone, another absolute beauty of a day here and warmer than yesterday it's blissful. I've just been to the allotment to help He Who Knows fold up the black plastic weed suppressant membrane he puts down and what a palaver that was, 30 metres of 5 meter wide sheet on a breezy day was not easy!!! I actually ended up on my knees IN the compost heap at one point and then couldn't do anything for laughing. We won in the end though and the beast is now folded up and safe under the bench in the shed. Back home and having a well earned coffee. Housework and ironing done so other than a Cookie walk the rest of the day is mine and I'm going to sit in the garden and read, lovely!!!

JACKIE I hope you're regaining your balance after yesterday, I'm glad you spent last night with your DD too much of an ask to be alone when you're raw hurt and in shock. I hope today brings you peace of mind and time will help you all come to terms with this loss, thinking of you, Lyn xxx.

Jackie I didn't get time to visit MSE yesterday, so have only just seen your sad news. (((HUG)))
    Sleep well, Davey.

I find their stuff to be every bit as good as branded stuff, for the most part.

I actually "discovered" Herr A when Mary the Jack Russell Cross didn't have enough food with her to last her entire stay, and the franchisee went and got a supply, and it was Herr A's "Earls" range. It looked to be very good quality, and Mary loved it (she was totally ga-ga, but he knew what a food bowl was for) so Mr LW and I started shopping there. Haven't looked back since! :D

I can't get everything there - no loose leaf tea, coffee beans, custard powder, vegetarian suet or live yogurt - but I can do a good proportion of my shop there, and it does show in the food budget! :o

Dotty arrives on Friday morning - at roughly the same time as the workmen who are coming in to re-do the patio, Could be interesting! :D
The plan is Mr LW will deal with the workmen, and I'll see to Dotty - she's a Cairn Terrier, btw. :o
