Yes. Apart from the golden flakes of corn! They are not bought every week!Goldiegirl wrote: »So does this shopping feed you both for the whole week?
Problem!
Again this about some one who waits for the yellow sticker label girl, NOT MY SHOP, that averages between £15 and £260 -
She will have a full stock cupboard that will help her with those figures. I too have a full stock cupboard but she's doing better than I am and I pride myself on not over spending on food.
I don't think we can compare ourselves with anyone really and BoP if I were to compare my shop with yours I would struggle to make a couple of meals for just myself let alone the breakfast, lunches, dinner with left overs for DH the next day, kiddie pack ups and suppers. It's definately all relative.
Anything that gets the message out there is a good thing and if she can sustain that weekly and is happy then so be it I tend to think
Dog Pot
Canned toms. Beans. Franks, with salad. Sun Mon Tue. Brews on stove.
Boiled egg and chees salad Thu
Pancakes and Oranges We'd Fri.
Sticky chicken Saturday.
If I had to buy Sticky chicken or Golden flakes, would take bill to about £19.
As for milk. I like mine fresh. Not like cheese!
And I do not wear a bra!0 -
I assume you have cornflakes for breakfast.
So are you saying you just eat the one other meal each day. And not a particularly substantial meal either, if the tin of kidney beans and the tinned tomatoes are stretching to six portions, for example.
Are you eating like this by choice, or financial necessity?

Lunch is jelly and oranges. Breakfast if golden flakes with fresh milk. Hence the pints.
Elevenses are taken.
And the Dog Pot. Yes. Three days, six meals. No problem. With rice, quarter cup. Yesterday was egg fried. Today sagYetti, tomorrow toast. More than enough.
Now, back to your pot noodles and nuked food, there!0 -

I shop at 7pm in tesco and can buy a months worth of meals for two of us for less than £20.I buy a very varied amount of meat and fish.I only buy fruit and veg when it's reduced to between 2p and 10p a pack.Last night I managed to buy 8 salmon portions for 8p each,I only shop 2 evenings a week and freeze as much as I can,veg is made into soups.i know I am very lucky to live in an area where people don't really bother with reduced food.i also stock the freezer with 10p bakery items.Good luck to her if she prepared to put the hours in and search out reduced items.0

Sorry, but I like my milk fresh. On pint goes two showerings of Golden Flakes. Then the n XTWF is opened!0 -
it is all the same .. you bought it all today so it would be just as 'fresh' from a 1 pint carton as a 6 pint... I got 3x 4pint cartons today.. they all have the date of the 13th on them.. whichever I open first is no more or less fresh than the one I open last surely.. ???LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
