Morning all. Thanks for the list Piggers. I love today's list. Just noticed that the only thing outstanding on it for me today is washing my main winter coat, so I'll put that in the machine next.
So far today I have WUDUPA, done one washload, walked the dogs and spent a couple of hours gardening. Next is hoovering/sweeping/mopping through the house.
Then that other job on the list - enjoying the rest of the day with friends and family.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Thank you for the list Pigpen.
I am really tired today, think I have a minor version of the tummy bug DS has had so I'm on go slow. Currently cooking the littlies lunch and bunged a washload on. DH has been dispatched to Ik£a for our much needed new kitchen table - that will make a big difference to the house and my mood - I am fed up of the smalls dropping all sorts of food all over the carpeted dining room floor!
Pork belly strips for tea with mash, yorkshires and brocolli. Must write an admin list for the week too - first job is to buy a TV licence, it only occurred to me last night we haven't bought one yet for the new house.
Sticks, spoons and high fives all round xxMFW

Hi all.
Flying off-piste this week again, in preparation for workmen descending on us on Friday. Dotty Cairn Terrier also arrives on Friday, so Mr LW is being instructed to deal with workmen while I deal with Dotty.
I dragged Mr LW out by his earlobes this morning to do a good HHGardening. I can't cope with being out the front on my own (too scared of neighbours stopping to chat) so he had no option but to come out and assist. He still can't tell a nettle from a nasturtium!
Next task: take Jessie for her afternoon walk, before it rains, I think. It's her last night with us tonight; she's due to be collected at 10:00 tomorrow. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Happy Monday, flyladies:)
Thanks very much for the lists, I'm going to try be in this week. Am working Tue/Wed/Thu this week, albeit the latter 2 from home.
I've also some study stuff to get done this week, and make a start on some personal admin too
We've had a quiet day today after a pretty full on weekend - the kiddies are eating dinner still in their onesies! Lol. I did get all uniform ironed and put away, they need a dunk in the bath and bags getting ready for morning.
Think we'll have a hh tidy time before baths... Lego everywhere!Bossymoo

Oooh I am not ready to put my winter coat away yet .. but then I do live up North!
Bathroom and kitchen swished, ironing done, 6hrs of paid stuff out of the way, shepherds pie made. Need to look at my finances and like Nicki I need to do some lists. My Mum gave me a lovely notebook she had no use for and I started using it for my mealplans etc but didnt keep it going.
Oh and my washing machine has died, new one delivered Weds but not sure yet how we are going to arrange for someone to be here when it arrives.0 -
- checked pea and bean seeds I put in to soak yesterday.
- went to H0m£base and Dun£1m to get more seeds, a new iron, 2 blinds to try and keep some of the light out of our bedroom at night and my study by day (I love sun, but was typing a report while wearing a straw sun visor on Sat!), of course some basket/bedding plants fell into my trolley but I had a voucher so they cost zilch.
- emailed all students to see what my workload is likely to be in the next 2 weeks. Some are on placement, others have exams so I don't think it's unreasonable for me to ask them whether I need to go to uni at all! So far I have 1 booking for tomorrow and 2 private assessments for the following week.
- Mr N is round at his mum's sorting out shoes, so does that count on the list?
- We have a good idea of what we are going to put in the garage sale next w/e.
- easy dinner this eve as there is some veg & gravy left over from yesterday's casserole so will do a mushroom etc risotto. Still no news about the aga repair, they were meant to get back to us. Resorted to mini plug-in heater in study as I'm typing a report and got cold, even in my fleece onesie. Raining outside.
-sat down with calendar and checked all the next month's appts are down. We have a few things to go through this eve, not the least of which is Mr N wants to book a weekend away the first 'long weekend' of his semi-retirement in June.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.0 -
