Be debt free and have money in the bank, sounds simiply, but in the mean time, i have done the one thing in my life that has made me happy. I went to NY in feb, with my best friend, my husband. This forefilled every dream. i have budgeted it will take me 2 years to pay it off, which i am doing, but after the 2 years i have had, it is worth every interest free penny!!

  • Narva - New York seems to have that effect on people. I went a few years ago - the nearest thing I did to a tourist type thing was walking into the lobby of the empire state building. I saw the queue to get to the top and walked right back out the doors.

I had the time of my life there. One of only two (maybe three) big cities I've been to where would like to live in the long term (and I live in Manchester now)
    1> New York.
    2> Edinburgh.
    (3> Maybe Geneva.)

The more I think about it though, the less sure I am I actually want to live in a city at all!
Now once it is paid off, save up and go debt free for your second trip. ;)

    I still have to do

    - have another child
    - buy another sports car that I can afford to keep

Protector - just seen you had LBM this week, good luck in your debt free journey. Keep coming on here, if only to read other posts and keep motivated.

Meet Arthur C Clarke (not looking hopeful, he's practically on his death bed poor chap).

    Be a size 10 (pfft, at 5ft 10 that's looking unlikely too).

See the look on my boyfriends face when he sees our baby for the first time (I'm years off having kids yet, but the thought is lovely).

    Walk Mount Kilimanjaro.
