Occasionally, since I have retired a few years now, and can get away with it!.... I rinse out my day to day clothes that are not dirty by any means but need a refresh..
I rinse them in a little fabric conditioner. (no need to rinse in cold water either!) I'm talking tops and light jog pants and the like. then spin short, and hang outside or on the rads.
The rads are on anyway at certain times of the day, the water is in the tank anyway, and there is always the airer. so why not?
Works for me anyway.
My washing machine has a 2kg/20min cycle especially to refresh worn but not dirty clothing that needs refreshing
I use it most days and either hang outside to dry or on the bathroom towel rail if raining.0 -
If you have a shower before you go to bed the sheets would stay cleaner and no funny business too ha ha“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

Does the 20 min cycle include rinsing and spinning? Maybe yours does... but
I have a short wash too that says it's 25 mins but ends up being nearly 40 when you take in the rinse and spin. It's all SPIN!
Anyway, a few minutes or so rinsing and refreshing in the fabric conditioner by hand using hot water that's already there, then into the machine for a few minutes on a quick spin.
That works for me!

My colleagues have attempted to embarass me for making my own lunch!! They all pay £4+ per day for a tiny meal in the office canteen, which they always complain about, then have to audacity to mention that my <insert name of food here> smells delicious. If only they knew that nearly all the ingredients are Tesco Value or from Aldi!
I've had people say I'm tight for never having food at work when the others do too. It's nothing to do with money though, I'd just put about 5 stone on if I did! I'd rather have something small at lunch and eat more for dinner.0 -
During my working life I always brought in my lunch. Had an hour break (if lucky), so that meant I could scoff my grub and get out for a walk or visit the shops, as I worked in the city centre.
I didn't care what anyone thought really. Although no one passed any heed. They daren't cos I was the Boss LOL!!
It was just more convenient for me, not really money saving, although I'm sure that happened. I just didn't really notice it! Probably spent it in the shops buying rubbish anyway which balanced out the money saving aspect!
