Barclays closed acc without explanation

If it really was ISA, they have no rights to simply transfer ISA to a current account without your consent.
Nowadays this hardly makes any difference, but formally you have a right to transfer it to other ISA provider.

The current account has about £57.08 minus my mobile direct debit

Just a quick update. (I have been working away for the last few days)
1. Pay has gone into my account without any problems which might not be a bad thing
- I am still getting texts and can access mobile banking and online banking but the pinsentry log in wont work as it says my card has been blocked.
2. I have had no letters from barclays other than a letter congratulating me on opening an ISA
3. I have not had a response from TSB yet about opening the basic account.
I have a few standing orders and DD's due to go out (things like rent) on the 1st - I have to wait and see what happens if they will still go though with will give me a little breathing space.

I have just done an update to my credit file on checkmyfile and there are no CIFAS warnings - I dont know if they were going to do something like that would it appear so quickly or take some time.
Will keep a look out on Noodle and Clearscore when they are updated.

Finally had the letter from barclays today about closing my account on the 25th
Direct debit has come out of my account today (29th) - I will have to go in on Tuesday to try and get what money is in there as I cant get out of work today to do it.

So is the account closed or not? I'm not clear where you are. If a DD has come out of it then the account (a) hasn't been closed immediately (like you originally said); and (b) hasn't been closed on the 25th (as you say it says in your letter). 25th of what month?

What does the letter say? Scan and post on here (blocking out personal details)?

I love the fact that the letter is dated the same day its noted as being closed.
I only got it today (29th) and they want me to sort another account before its closed.

What does it say after: "We will not be able to offer you any new banking services prior to the closure of your account(s)"?

So it's a current account and an ISA that are getting closed?
