Been there, done that! 37mph in 30mph zone late at night. Knew I'd done it so paid up. Now can get points removed from my licence again. I'm a lot more careful these days. So, sympathy, but..as AI said above, you were speeding and you got caught.Resolution:

I have learned a lesson from this.
In fact I am going to take the Advanced driving course to improve my driving! I look at it this way, I have been driving for 25 years so I need a refresher course.0 -

I know he shouldnt have been speeding, but no lectures I am working my horlicks off all day, and at night doing surveys, ebay, m.s etc etc so if I can get out of £60 I want too!
Thanks

Hi have been reading the thread for a couple of days now, I was "flashed last year - 38 in a 30 - just down the road from my house - DOH!!!!!!:o
I was offered the chance to attend a speed awareness coarse, run by wilts police, instead of the three points, I still had to pay the £60 "fee" to pay for the cost off the coarse There was 2 officers there and it ran for four hours (free coffee and bicky's though)
I did amuse myself by cornering the most official officer and asking him how fast he was going when he got flashed.
BUT!!! also in my opinion, if someone who is caught speeding and they know it was them, then it is a fair cop - pay up and slow down it may save someones life!!!!
That said, if you are REALLY keen to get out of paying the £60 then I suggest that you get researching on the internet, I have heard and read of many "loopholes" with regards to speeding fines, i.e if they cannot provide a valid callibration certificate for the camera etc.
I have read that when you send back the form admitting to the offence that in the past people have got off due to the fact that the form was not signed by the offender, and therefore not legal, due to the fact that they could not be tried for the same offence twice , they got off.
Whether these loopholes are still open today I would not know, but if you researched enough on the web I am sure you could find out.
Try motoring websites and forums and fast car sites etc, you may well find the info relating to the law regarding speeding cameras etc.
With the right info you may possibly get off with the offence but it may take many hours of searching.
Best of luck!!!
