No dish

I'm about to be in the position of letting a house. It has an aerial but no dish and the tv pictures are fuzzy. I would like to provide tenants with something useable but not have to pay a monthly subscription. Any advice as to what I should buy?

Either get the existing aerial aligned correctly or get a new one fitted
If the tenants want Sky/Freesat then it's up to them to get a dish fitted (with your permission of course)0 -
You can get a Sky dish and Sky box second had and use them as free view without subscription. How much that costs depends on your abilities to install them.
But it seems the best bet is to get the aerial issues solved and the tenants can use Freeview on their own TV.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
Are you sure that the problem is the aerial, not the TV set or connecting cables? Digital Freeview via aerial is either available or not;if the signal is poor you lose channels altogether or they pixelate very badly -not like the "snowy" analogue pictures of old!0

Get the aerial tested fixed/replaced.
Tell the installers you cannot have any amplifiers. They are nothing but a pain with tenants.
If there is an issue with signal locally you could go with a mini dish and freesat stb.0 -
I'd want and see what the tenants want to do. If they want Sky, then they can get the dish installed for free. If they want the aerial, then get it checked out.0

My ability to install anything is non-existent unfortunately0 -

It's not the to set as I've tried more than one. It could be the cable or the alignment of the aerial. The channels are available but they pixelate - some far more than others. I wish I could just pay for a dish and the installation thereof but I don't know who to ask.0 -
