    lol!
We all need to win a car! Since the economic downturn, no one is giving away high value prizes like that.

We all "settle" for less. I would say that the majority of people maybe win one or two 'good' prizes a year. By good I mean the £100-£250 mark. And that's entering every competition they can in the time they have.

    Most people win books/dvds/promotional merchandise.

The prizes that you will deign yourself to 'settle' for are the majority of the wins out there. Lower your expectations or find a different hobby. *rollseyes*
Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!

Car comps are few and far between but they are out there - just need to keep your eyes open.

Let us know if you win one - there are people on here who have

I read the OP as being gently humourous rather than serious :o This post seems a bit nasty to me

Apologies if I came across as rude.
I thought the OP sounded very self-entitled and like we are not worthy of his time if we can't win him a car (or other high value prize that he would 'settle' for even though he's worth more).

Me too - though I would prefer to win a horse for getting around on as hay is cheaper than petrol :p

I wouldn't mind hanging on to win a self-drive car though so it can chauffeur me around whilst I comp on my phone or ipad! - Oh I wonder if they will drop the 'cannot use your phone whist driving' law when the self drives arrive??? :D

If I won a flying unicorn she might get shot down if she flies too close to Newcastle airport - the police might think she is a drone in disguise!
