How Can I Stop This Behaviour?

  • Metal toilet roll holder for the posh stuff.

And a roll of Basics for a treat. Or a toy rabbit spiked with a bit of catnip.

She obviously had a need to murder things - a bit of bog roll is sooo much easier to clean up than mouse halves.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Oh look at that innocent face - I can't believe you're blaming her for the self-destructing toilet roll :D

I bought her some soft cat balls and she loves chasing them under the sofa. She carries them around like prey and squeaks loudly if I throw them for her. She brings them back and drops them next to me to throw again. It has partially solved the problem until she spots that someone has left the bathroom door open.......

My cat has an obsession with paper too. He will shred the loo roll and kitchen towel if he gets the chance and will peel off wallpaper if he finds a loose corner. He used to chew cardboard but seems to have grown out of that now (he's nearly 5). He is just a domestic short hair, nothing as exotic as a Bengal!

This would solve the loo roll problem http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/White-Toilet-Roll-Bathroom-Storage-Cupboard-BA1000-/131475338349?hash=item1e9c8a746d:m:mAzqlvVXgIrQdGUK1XXFLXQ

Can the kitchen roll be wall mounted, too high for the cat to reach.

I've more or less managed to solve the problem by managing to keep paper rolls out of her way.

She is really awful at the moment though. We have the cat frenzy toy, with the ratatouille attachment and also two birds. She is so hooked on the game that as soon as I sit down she starts pestering me to play it. She sits at my feet looking intently at me and cries in a high pitched voice for me to play. She does amazing leaps and when she catches it she drops it so I can move it again. I play with her but as soon as I stop to read or go on the laptop she is there again pleading. If I ignore her she puts out a paw and pokes me on the leg as if to say come on now. If I still ignore her she sticks her claws in my leg. Sometimes we play for half an hour and she still wants to play. I thought cats slept a lot but she seems to hardly ever sleep.

So I have one obese cat who is constantly whinging for food and the other one who is always whinging for a game. The obese cat is in cat weightwatchers but she cheats all the time. Last time I took her she had put on 100g because she steals the other one's food. I must try harder. I'm not really complaining about them, just writing it all down.

raw feed meat, bones, offal etc to your cats: - this will slim the fat cat & calm the toilet roll destroyer. Obviously do your research first so they are getting everything they need first - there's a facebook group: completely raw fed & proud with ALL the info you need

Get one of those indoor plant sprayers, or refill a kitchen cleaner spray - when ever the cat is hell bent on 'roll' destruction - give it a good spray - best effect if the cat doesn't see you doing the spraying, it becomes a cause an effect - damage roll, get sprayed.

My cat use to scratch the bed, but after water suddenly arrived - stopped; only wish I could do something similar over the carpet!!
