Thankyou so much for joining me :) I will be completely debt free in about 7 years about.... I am taking the scenic route I don't want to throw all my cash at it and be miserable I will pay what I owe not a penny less :)

That makes sense. You get the balance right with paying debt and enjoying life to the full

Hi all :D. I am off work for a while as I have had an op so hence the title. Whilst I am off I am determined to use what food I have in freezer first, and SC and use up odds and ends like shampoo etc :money:

I have lots of time to plan and make lists! :T yay I love lists :).

Bank hol looming and no plans as I am laid up. We usually go to the caravan owned by mil. Never mind ds and dh are amazing together and always have fun. Dh is an amazing father and husband and has really been looking after me.:A
No washing out as it's snowing here! Just when the garden furniture makes an appearance too lol:rotfl:.
That's it for now not much else to report.

    Hi

put your 'monthly accrual' for annualised/1/2 & 1/4'ly bills into a high interest current account to start earning 5% annual interest.

If you can save open a regular saver and do the same with 6% annual interest.

Don't pay for any insurances monthly as they charge yo credit

Renegotiate all bills 1 month before they become renewals also check you still NEED them. If no cancel them and don't forget to cancell the DD at your bank.

    Great work keep it up.
Debt is a symptom, solve the problem.
  • My garden furniture is also sprinkled with snow.

    Hope you mend quickly!
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:

Hi still laid up but on the good side lots of time to research out holiday and pre book activities. Saved £5 pre booking one :Tbut no savings on others but will avoid disappointment as we are going in Whitsun so will be very busy.
Didn't give ds money to go out tonight as I seem to be giving him £4 plus a time and he just buys carp he's only 12 and he is only going to the park! Felt a bit mean but if he was out all day or going swimming it would be different He is also a spender so I want to get him out of that! I told him to take a drink from the house and some crisps and he said that was "scabby"???:eek: where he has got this from I don't know but it wasn't from me I am a great fan of picnic on the go :money:.
Budget tight now activities ate paid for but at least I know they are done and all I need budget for on holidays is food. Going away in this country is so expensive, at least abroad all inclusive you don't have to worry. :)
I purchased a nice picnic melamine stacker from John Lewis but I got it off a fbk selling page so that will come in very useful on hols.
I do lovely picnic lunches even if I do say so myself. In work people always comment on how nice my lunch looks.
I also have a great stock of outdoor wear good shoes (sketcher go walk) being a football and rugby Mom,so I am well equipped for our great British summer which I hear is on a Tuesday this year!:rotfl:
    That's all for tonight
    Thanks for reading

Hi all happy weekend :j. No much to report. DH has found a new hairdresser saving £4 :money:. There was £10 in the hairdresser pot so well covered for him this time.
Can't stress how good pots are they really do work in budgeting. I have started a school uniform pot for Aug now.:D
Ds and dh going to cinema. We are very lucky to have a local cinema so it costs about £8 max for both of them . Last time we went to vu£ is cost £22 for three of us:eek:
Dinner at mils tom and a budgeted takeaway tonight :j may have a glass of wine too .
Looking for a good suncream to stop ds eyes stinging in pool on hols any ideas? I have been buying since Jan to spread cost as it comes in quite expensive to buy 3 large bottles straight off.
Have a great Sat all :D

I like the idea of pots. My bank doesn't have that facility...

Enjoy your wine at the MiLs :)

HI :D,as the title says it's a rainy bank holiday here but even though I can't get up and do physical things I am doing mse things.:money:
I rang sky and downgraded to basic as dh has got am Amaz@n fire stick. £26 per month saved :T
Sent meter readings in, gas still high but we cook with gas also obviously when the warmer weather decides to turn up it will go down.:rotfl:
Last double up with Tes£0 in May so I am getting ds a nutri bullet for Christmas :xmastree:
Lot's of cheap entertainment coming up for ds and dh in the form of football :footie: and rugby events. A packed lunch and it makes a very frugal days entertainment for them and keeps us away from overpriced theme parks and the like! although to be fair I don't think I have paid full price for many years! Not in my mse life anyway:rotfl:.
Not much else to report thanks for dropping by :)
    Enjoy your bank holiday
    btd xx
