Well DH decided he must give his new credit card a bashing last night so I decided if he was going to bash it there had to be something for me too.
So I got myself some new oven mitts, an ice cream scoop, a cake cooling tray and 2 oven trays, all of which were badly needed and I would have bought out of my pocket money next month.
But the best of all, I got my American Cup measures in a fancy stainless steel for the grand price of £2.84.
Today I went to spend my birthday voucher at Hobbycraft, why do they have to assume that everyone who goes in there already knows what they are doing? I wanted to learn something completely new but couldn't find anything that was basic or explained how to clearly.
In the end I opted for the one thing I'm good at which is sewing and bought some soft toy kits.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Not so much the credit card but my bank account got a good hammering at the weekend. I spent lots of money on the beneFit counter and have also since bought some more on ebay. I feel a little guilty, but then as Oh says I have worked so hard to bring our finances into line the last few weeks with the help from this board that I deserved a treat.
I think I need a bit more than a coffee so I should really be in the Arms right now!
Where did you get those lovely sounding cup measures from moggins, I could do with some of those too0 -
Sorry hun, I didn't mention that did I? It was Asda. All my lovely goodies came from there and they were all so cheap.

Just got in from a busy day - 5 mins till I leave for the school run.
Went to Asda's today to pick up a few bits. Got a 2 L bottle of Ribena (£3.58) cos dh loves it. It wasn't until I happened upon an end aisle display that I noticed they have special offer bottles - 100% extra free. So, bought 2 as it will keep.
Also popped into Netto on my way past. A few bits and bobs but bought Ds2 a lovely big bucket set - the ones with all the watering cans and little rakes etc in, for £1. Will be excellent for hols and he's pleased.
Bought walnuts, dark choc and beetroot amongst other things today, so am aiming to spend tonight cooking lots of yummy cakes and tea breads as I have loads of ripe bananas at the moment. Maybe I'll sell some on to ye shoppe if I've made too many.0 -
I would do some cooking if only I could get up off my A@@e and off my computer and do somthing!
I have no energy and no inspiration today ( or yesterday for that matter).
I took some steaks out of the freezer last night to defrost and they were off:mad: so i had to bin them and now can't think of a thing to cook for tea tonight. So I'm surfing here instead:rolleyes:
Pass me some more cake please I feel another 2lbs falling off my hips that needs replacing0 -

Any chance of a coffee and some cake here our cupboards are bare at home.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
We've just had a new biggish Tesco open up within walking distance & they have very kindly sent me some money off vouchers:j As I would normally top up the fruit bowl today anyway I'm off there tonight to see if they have any opening bargains.:o I would usually save any leftover grocery budget money for the last day of the moth (next Weds for me) and use it to stock up the freezer or store cupboard with a couple of luxury items but as my money off voucher expires on Monday I may have to force myself to spend early to make the saving! At the end of the day I can only spend the money once:p
Can't partake of my afternoon fondant fancy fetish as I am being tested for Gestational diabeties & have been warned to go easy on the sugary stuff:eek: Somehow "pass me another carrot stick please" doesn't sound so inviting does it?Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -
