Not sheep!! 36 sheep here at the Watty place and they are not eating what they are supposed to. Lets see, they have eaten the wasteland behind the stables, very nice of them but I don't care about that area (utter mystery how they got in there). They have eaten a hole in the hedge and escaped. They have eaten a lot of the rye in the farmers field next door after breaking a fence. They have eaten a lot of grass in the ponies field to the ponies disgust - they have even eaten grass in a neighbours field - but - eat they field they were actually got for ....nah..
And wine - they are very expensive in wine - bottle for the neighbour who helped retrieve them from the rye before the farmer found out, bottle for the neighbour who helped fix the fence and so on .....
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

OK perhaps I'll give the sheep a miss. Not sure how they would go down in a London suburb any way. Unless I can get an exotic foreign breed sheep and start a new pet trend. Welsh Mountain are so last year I've got a West African Dwarf...

Mind you I do know someone who kept goats and they were very useful for clearing an overgrown plot of land as long as they weren't in reach of anything else vaguely edible.

Not much MSE news. I won £9 on the Euromillions so a small OP on its way soon. I'm managing to keep spending under control (most of the time). I bought my flights to visit DH's home country in North Africa and they are a bit under budget so that is good.

I am just plodding along waiting for the end of term so I don't come home to homework every evening. I think the parents are as keen for school to end as the children.

Nice win on the Euromillions - every little helps and good news on the flights. Do you all go regularly to North Africa ?
I know what you mean about parents looking forward to the holidays when it gets to this point - I always did, it takes the pressure off for a while. Mind I always looked forward to them going back too ! Now I look forward to the school holidays because the traffic is much less on the roads and it makes the commute into work much easier.

    Hi Busy Mee
We usually go to visit Mr Gnome's family in the summer as they are 15 mins from the beach. As the boys are getting older they may want to visit other places but it is a relatively cheap break for us as we only have to pay for flights and chip in for food.

I know by the end of Aug I will be counting the days until they go back.

    Hi brizzled

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I was travelling for work and it caught up with me over the weekend.

I bought an Xbox one because that is what the children wanted. I think they felt there would be a better choice of games for them. I just did as I was told.;) I waited for the sales, which do seem to be every few weeks at the moment, and bought a console plus game package with a wireless controller (so they can leap around the room whilst playing:p) . I bought the 1TB Xbox one for the additional storage as the boys are sharing it. However, we didn't get Kinect as I am not convinced they would use it, I am sure we can add it later if needed. However, we did buy a second wireless controller so they can both play at the same time.

I wasn't comfortable buying a second hand Xbox although I did by a second hand Wii in the past. I felt it was going to get a lot of use so would stick with new.

So far it has been a great success, although my skills at Rocket League leave a little to be desired:o

Not much to report today. Just hanging on for the end of term and no more homework to supervise. I've been a bit lazy making my lunch for work this week but have stuck to low cost options like jacket potatoes.

I will try to do it tonight!
