Did you run as Admin?
Otherwise it looks as if you are running a 64 bit application on a 32 bat OS.
Did you install 32 bit or 64 bit?
I've just checked. The version of windows 10 is 32 but and I've selected the 64bit boot media.
I've no idea why because the original version of Windows 7 was definitely 64bit
Will give it a go tomorrow.Sigless0 -
Decided to give it a go now and the first thing it did was ask for a product key!Sigless0

I skipped passed it but I didn't want to install incase I do so and it then asks me for the activation key after install.Sigless0 -
Have you used 'magic jelly bean' to get the key, just in case?

I don't have the recovery media. I had made a USB drive with the recovery media on but have managed to misplace it so I can't reinstall the original Windows 7 until I find that.Sigless0 -

Thanks. Managed to get it to download eventually.
Windows 10 wouldn't install. For some reason it just kept going through the install process. Getting to the first reboot then starting again.
So I reinstalled Windows 7 with the aim of creating the USB media again and trying again to clean install Windows 10.
I can't do that as for some reason Windows 7 won't see the laptops wifi device so I can't connect to the Internet which means the media creation tool won't work.
Off to try and find a cat cable to connect it to the modem and download the Wifi drivers.Sigless0 -
Hahaha that hasn't worked either because the Ethernet controller also isn't installed.Sigless0
