O/S Daily Thread for Wednesday 20th April 2016

Morning all. First off I want to wish JUDI all the best for today. Hope all goes as well as a funeral can do. HILSTEP much sympathy on your loss. Also welcome aboard to TOPSY and ELAINE. Thinking of JACKIE and CANDLELIGHT with worries of loved ones. HESTER I think you should at least have had the courtesy of a reply from SS. Is there anyone "higher up" you could forward your e mail to?

Today promises to be sunshine all the way, a re-run of yesterday which was like a summer's day. So warm and it was lovely to see the young ones (who don't have bingo wings!) wandering around Skipton in vest tops and even shorts! We had a lovely lunch and I stuck to a salad but then fell off the wagon big time by succumbing to a goodie! Today is another day and I am back on the wagon!

Only 2 DGDs for tea, sleepover and subsequent school run today. The eldest (11) is going to her dad's as he is helping her with some maths problems she has. I think tea for them and Mr TA (but not me!) will be sausage and mash, which is one of their favourites. Anyway my new sausage order is due and I need to finish off last month's supply!

Going shopping a day early this week as I want to detour to a friend's house as it's her 65th birthday. I have a bottle of wine and a plant for her. I don't think we need a great deal and will probably just do Aldi. I'll do a list shortly and hopefully keep it short.

Washer chugging away and will peg that out next job. After shopping and lunch I want to pot up some summer bulbs and some herbs and enjoy the sun on my back!

Nice day here off to work for me, have heard nothing about my extra money so will chase if not heard this week, still not sure about managers job but I will have a think.

Hilstep - Awww so sorry to hear the bad news. Pets are like family members and it's always so difficult.

Up later than I would've liked. Bed is just too comfortable. Going to visit my sick gran tonight after work then I'll see my GF.

My golf lesson last night was amazing! The guy gave me a couple of ever so slight tweaks and all of sudden my shots are going 250 yards and poker straight!! I'm going to be like a Tiger Woods tomorrow for the world golf day.

Morning everyone,

Hillstep bless you, always so difficult to say goodbye to our animal pals x

Cold, bright and sunny here, yesterday got really quite warm at times so hopefully today will be the same. We have the Vet coming this morning to give Rosie her yearly jabs, she hates going to the surgery and gets so stressed that she messes herself etc so won't put her through the trauma anymore. It costs extra of course but worth every penny.
Other than that it's my day off so will get some jobs done and then go over the yard to see my lad, maybe a gentle walk down the lane.

Weather is very bright and sunny at the moment and I am trying to dose myself up with cough mixture as I have been 'barking' all night. My friend June is just working out our itinery for today, she likes token me occupied I think no word yet from my nephew but the internet and mobile network is a bit hit and miss here.

Yesterdays visit to a (Gladstones ) a pottery museum was really interesting.What a hard life folk had back then

I'd better go as June wants to try and get through to her DD and see how her twin DGC are getting on without her around :):)

We went for OH's MRI scan yesterday, when they knew he had a reaction to a dye years ago, they decided to give him a cat scan instead. Would not risk giving him the injection, thank goodness. I had been concerned about it knowing what had happened in the past.

It's a nice morning. POH is going to collect our scripts. I have some baking to do, then we need to get some plants in the ground and well watered. Tomorrow is a busy day too.
