I agree given the hormones you have taken you shouldn't assume the bleed is a true period, and assume you may be pg until you are getting BFN's a few days after AF should have been due. But also if you are not pg in terms of ttc next cycle you also shouldn't assume it was AF, which will make it difficult to predict next ov.

Thanks RiaAnn, I was thinking the same think wrt ov next cycle. Whatever has been occurring seem like a very light AF (have been moody cow x 10 to OH). Took a test this AM and was BFN, but should prob wait and do another one next weekend or so when I would have expected AF.

The rose is still chilling in the fridge  I was gong to crack it open but will wait now after your advice.

Hi peeps...

I was just feeling a bit odd as I had made myself some cheese and crackers with picallili but couldn't resist the urge to spoon the picallili straight out of the jar and into my mouth...

Then I proceeded to eat some melon and banana...

So then I have gone from feeling really hungry to really sicky!!!!!

I thought stuff it this isn't me at all...

I did a test and got a BFP...it isn't as strong as the control line but I guess that could be to do with the fact that I didn't do a morning test??? This is CD 28 for me...

I've got to wait for some more tests to arrive via ebay before I can do a morning one...

I can't quite believe it...I've had to ring hubbie at work as I couldn't wait for him to come home tonight!!!!!!! Hope I haven't done any damage though as last night I had a couple of glasses of red as I was convinced AF was on her way as I'd got cramps...

A in shock Kathy xx

Well done Kathy! I'm sure your next test will confirm it for you, as they always say a positive is a positive no matter what.

And don't worry about the red wine, Many a person has had a good drink before realising they're pregnant without doing a jot of harm...

Sorry Supergirl - it is not easy, but hang in there!
And congratulations to Kathy!!!! As long as you get a line, it is ok (or so I believe...)

Well, CD30 for me... (out of 28!!!). Took test yesterday morning and i thought, I may have seen a shadow, but probably just was something on the stick. Negative this morning. Got a bit of light brown spotting today, but nothing more yet. I am afraid, AF will be arriving soon (Never prayed so much in my life for this to be the month, even lighted a candle in the cathedral today...). I think with realising that it could have been a mc few months ago I got even more paranoid and with the other things in my life now, it would be so good if this was the lucky month...

My temperature is still a bit higher than usual for AF, so I hope it is not going to show it's ugly face!!!! (Do you ever get a feeling like you are hanging there by a thick rope with 2 weeks to AF to go, and the the threads of the rope just start breaking, one by one? You do a first pregnancy test, negative, one thread gone, you take your temp in he morning, it is a little bit down, another thread broken, you get usual pre-AF pains, another thread, and so on.... I think I am on the last one!!!)

I had the weirdest feeling on Friday, when driving home. It felt as something just flipped, like a small disk or ball in my lower belly. I was so shocked, I actually jumped in the car while driving on M6!!!! Not a good idea, but that was so strange!!!!

I had a friend over weekend and I think sometimes I wasn't behaving very nice, as I was trying to hold my tears way too many times, but I couldn't explain her anything - it is way too complicated. I don't want others to know that we are ttc, and didn't want to share my other troubles, especially as she is still in the company I loved to work so much, but can't anymore (120 miles is not a reasonable commute, one way - that is why I had to leave). So sorry, girls for this rant - but I needed someone to listen!!!!

I don't think I'm taking my temperature right.:o

I've only been charting for 5 days and my temp in the mornings varies between 36.10 - 36.60. I take it when I wake up and am still lying in bed half asleep. Twice over the weekend I woke up and took my temperature, which was 35.71 both times, then realised it was still the middle of the night and I went back to sleep and got a temp of 36.1 and 36.3 when I woke up again in the morning. I don't understand why my temperature would be so much lower in the early hours of the morning?

Your temp will change significantly at different times of the night. You must try and take at same time every day (inc weekend) even 20 mins can make a difference as you temp changes throughout night. You must be after your main sleep, and you must have been asleep 3 hours or more. You need to do it as soon as you wake as the more you fidget move around the more variability you will get. I am using tcoyf software (15 days free trial) which will adjust temp if you take early or late - it is predicting ov 2 days earlier than I would have done if I hadn't adjusted the temps.

http://www.ovusoft.com/

"The reason for this is that basal body temperature rises in a predictable pattern according to the circadian rhythms of your body, and these rhythms operate like, well, clockwork. For these rhythms to work effectively you should get at least 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep. You should take your temperature within 20 minutes of the same time each morning."

Thanks, I'll set an alarm for it from now on. What's the best thing to do if I wake up before the usual time and can't get back to sleep? Does your temp change while you are lying down trying to sleep?

If you can't get back to sleep I would take the temp before getting up/fidgeting too much but make a note of the time. If you are a long way off the normal time you should class it as a "disturbed reading" (i.e may be helpful but don't rely on it). As long as you have had the minumum 3 hours sleep, and take a temp early you can assume the temp is a little lower that is would have been had you slept longer (temp reaches a miniumum and then slowly rises).

The chart below shows how temp changes throughout day - so yes your temp does change while you are lying down sleeping!

If you are waking in the middle of the night then that is a different matter (as you may not have reached the minimum) - in that case I wouldn't bother taking at all. If you suffer insommnia you may find charting BBT won't work for you, as if you don't have a "normal" sleep pattern, you temp pattern which is linked to it may also not be "normal"
• Supergirl, am so sorry to hear your news

Kathy - well done, although those food combinations sound interesting!!!!!!!

Well, down to CD21 now so only a 1ww now, although, I can be day 26 - although with Agnus Castus, Evening Primrose oil and progesterone cream, who knows how long it will be this time!!! I have got sore boobs though, so here goes for another week symptom spotting.

Another success this month - sprinkling lots of baby dust in the hope that there may be some more!!!

• It is funny, I have been a bit bummed out all day (again continuing foul mood towards OH...) since getting the BFN this morning.
We aren't actually planning to ttc seriously till Dec/Jan so shouldn't be disappointed but I am a bit.....:(
I am a silly moo!
