You are much nicer than me as I would be tempted to say "Hold your head up and spit them in the eye!" :o

You are quite right that Judi did everything she could despite being thwarted at every turn by relatives who should have been considering the person being cared for and not on point scoring.

I hope things go as smoothly as they can.

    Belated happy birthday to Hilstep.
Judi, Chin up and Titus out as we say on another thread, I reorganised my life after my mother died, I left my husband, not immediately it took a few years.
Lovely and sunny here I have another load of D's washing on the go, I'll hang it out later.
    Hugs Hester

Welcome newbies. I'm in awe of those of you that have / are home schooling.. My daughter has a number of difficulties and it has crossed my mind but I would go insane !

3 loads of washing have been outside. Also some of the few branded goods I buy were on offer at Sains and a money off voucher so been and stocked up. As I have various health problems my friend takes me and puts the groceries in front room for me. I am however knackered and on sofa till I can safely take my very strong painkillers.

Jackie O Davey sounds an inspirational gentleman.

    Take care.

    Afternoon everyone.

My change of plans was good - I got two loads of washing out on the line and dry, did some housekeeping in the back garden, cleared some dead stuff from the front hedgerow, deadheaded loads of daffs, liveheaded loads of dandelions and had a very long and extremely pleasant chat with the farmer on his big red tractor. And just now finished off my online chores for work.

Welcome to Topsy and welcome back to Elaine.

Hi Chums just waiting for a text from his son Steven to let me know how things are going. He really is a great guy (I know I am biased :)) but he is so positive and when Iwas having treatment a few years ago he would text me or ring up and say come on girl you have got to kick this cancer's butt' :) seems so unfair that he is so unwell.

My friend June has been brilliant, and today we went to Gladstone potteries and went around the museum, great afternoon and we've just got back to the cottage. We have chilli tonight for dinner and a movie to watch.

The weather was really nice today and the sun has finally decided to shine down on us. everywhere we look there are daffodils which iss lovely because down in the south ours have all finished. I'm dosing myself up with cough mixture to get rid of this cold .If I manage to go down to see my brother next week I can't take a cold into the hospital with his immunity being so low.

Welcome to the new folk and the returners, we are a matey lot in here and everyone helps each other if they can.

Right off for a quick cuppa before the wi-fi vanishes :):)

    Cheers everyone

    JackieO

P.S. meanmarie good news about another baby honey, get the knitting needles out :):):)

Jackie Sounds like another lovely day . Sending vibes for the cold to go .
Candlelight Thank you for your kind words , big hug back to you :A
Lone Wolf Is the shoulder any less painful today ? I do hope so .
Dumpling You sound much more positive than your post this morning .Have you tried writing down the positives about your trips with your cmht ? You have had a number of good outings and have sounded much more positive afterwards . A few wobbles aren't the end of the world so could you try to keep the next appointment in mind and remember the good ones . Easy to say I know but that's what helped my daughter begin to cope with severe anxiety and panic attacks . It wont cure them but it will minimise them .
Gers What a productive day and all in the sunshine .
Csarina Glad to see the cost of repair was reasonable ." ?
Well off to have a shower then feet up .

Judi, Chin up and Titus out as we say on another thread, I reorganised my life after my mother died, I left my husband, not immediately it took a few years...

I too made changes after losing my dad in 1991, first separation from the now ex-h, and after losing my mum in 2005 I moved away from my home town of 31 years to move in with my now DH (who proposed the night I moved in, after gaining my mums consent before she died the year before :A).

Even when you know they will be going, it still takes time to get used to it. I still think of my dad daily, 25 years later, and am really missing my mum as we prepare for DS2s wedding this autumn.
